i still have 80% of my case and keep buying pack to replenish it.

I've had 2018 and 2019 bottles recently and felt like they were fine, but maybe this year's different?
Also still see people poppin open 2015 High Westifieds and they appear to enjoy them.

Prolly a sign of the time with everything is going to shit

I've enjoyed it with age in the past. I'm pretty sure I put up a 4 pack. And I know it might be my palate or whatever for today. But damn if I don't feel like this one is a little wobbly on it's knees already

giving this one another go… and all i can say about this bottle from the last is that i opened this at a little cooler temp (didn’t let sit out as long) and i think i like it better that way. typically i like my stouts & barleywine (and even sour beers) at room temp but i think the maple pops a little more when this is cooler. warm, it’s pretty much all cinnamon (take note @micada )

    cheers!

Bottled in November, 2018. Delicious, but still boozy enough to fool me into thinking it was bourbon barrel aged. What a beer!

Served at ambient temperature, consuming at significantly higher temperature, and the glass is warming too. All the beautiful char and malt as expected. There is definitely a fair amount of peat, and very faint smoke. Oak is gone, as is the cherry and cognac. Alcohol has mellowed, yet it is clearly a major player. The pumpernickel is awesome, with a touch of anise (maybe caraway).

If we had a fire-pit, I would have stayed outside with the snow falling. Just a strait-up excellent Stout. Well deserving of its accolades.

I'm friends with the brewer so I might be partial but this is a good beer! Nose is perfect. Taste is on point and only thing lacking is the mouth feel. If you are in Denver be sure to check out this brewery, this beer is worth the visit.

Perennial Abraxas (Salted Chocolate) (2022) - 11.5% ABV Imperial Milk Stout with Ancho chiles, cacao nibs, Ceylon cinnamon, vanilla, chocolate sauce and sea salt.

Really good stuff! Much better than the original.

This has been long time want for me!
Bamburana (even though collab ) was a great beer!
I am lucky enough to have access to these but i stay away from overconsuming to not burn out.

they had a really good Non BA Imperial Stout on tap for a while that i wish they canned , but California is full of assholes that only want shitty beer

South Carolina may be south, but last I checked it was still north of the Equator.
