Tree House Brewing (2023)

Dude walked into Treehouse Tewks in a kilt and fucking bag pipes. Wanders to the separate bar room where some of were trying to talk and enjoy ourselves as overflow from main room and it’s TINY in there. Mumbles something about going out to the tent and getting his stuff situated. Something about playing at a funeral earlier. Sorry dude, no one cares to know or even if it’s true. Proceeded to blast his horrid sounds to the point you can’t talk. Does this on and off almost our whole trip there with our friends who live in town. Obviously we moved out to the main room again and it embarrassing to watch and listen to in there. Staff has no idea why. Nothing is done and we’re told his wife is sitting on the fireplace.

Miserable experience to hear. Can Nate, I’d anything make sure that shit show doesn’t happen again. That’s not normal people stuff. Fuck off with that

 

OK, first off, you have to stop calling it 'Tewks.' That shit will not be normalized.

I worked out of a Tewks office for years. Everyone called it that. But not my town and no desire for it to be.

But yeah, the obnoxious, unwanted, or approved bagpipes in a business are the real problem here

 

Are you positive that no one enjoyed them? Not saying it wasn’t obnoxious for your group but it could have been fun and interesting for others. If I was high I might have liked it.

 

It’s in a room that is maybe 20x20. It’s so beyond normal to think that it’s a good or normal idea. If four adults simultaneously agree this is rude and an horrible idea. I’m pretty sure you’re not doing it right. It’s the equivalent of me going to Starbucks and putting on Madball’s Set it off. Sure a few of us assholes might like the record. But in the words of Andy Bernard “huuuge, dick move”

 

Fair enough. I think I just tend to be entertained by the absurd. Those moments get put into the “Remember when…” category.

 

Oh hell yes! I’ve seen many things not even worth getting into over the years that have created some of the best inside jokes imaginable.

But this physically hurt our ears and questioned if this person was ok thinking this was normal. Ha

There is a guy that works in my building (in Tewksbury actually!) that comes down to the parking garage, right near my shop, and blows his bagpipes all the time. It’s horrible; I’m not sure if the guy knows how to play or not, it just sounds like one long note. We’ve told him to shut the fuck up many times, but he continues. So last time we all went out to our cars and just laid into our horns. It was awesome! Haha.

 

I'm just imagining the scene in Coming To America where Akeem is singing "To Be Loved" in the streets after dancing with Lisa and every one is telling him to shut up. I like live music but the music has to be space appropriate.

And my preferred nickname for the Tewksbury spot is "T-bury."

 

Yeah, it’s really strange. For anyone who’s been to the t-bury knows the small side room with the bar you can sit or stand at. He just out of nowhere showed up into that confined room and was blasting. Cleared us out right away. We went in there to have some space to put our drinks down and shoot the shit. It basically just pushed us back into the main room. And it was plenty loud hearing it in there too.

The comedy is mainly in the fact that room is like a glorified closet and he felt this is a great place to smash the octopus tubes(all I can think of when I see those damn things)

 

Bagpipe guy is definitely going into the Tree House lexicon. This is the kinda shit I'm both happy and disappointed that I missed.

 

I will get hazeboiz to post something about it for all of us.
