Lowercase is basically a lager factory at this point, so I'm guessing they're just talking about "yellow fizzy beer."

Their lagers are amazing, too. Soft, super flavorful and complex. Sad to see the taproom close, but glad they're not throwing in the towel.

Not from me. After they got popped for serving underage folks and changed the rules, I (and a lot of others) lost interest.

Shrug. Our modern world is different than a few years ago. Us older folks aren't as into fests anymore (been there, done that, paid for the overpriced T-shirt), and the new generation just doesn't seem to be into gets the me way we were when we were their age.

Shrug. Life happens, and maybe the large fests have reached their end point?

Understandable. I didn't realize they had gotten popped for serving underage folks (although I kind of suspected when they changed things).

Washington Brewer's Fest has been something we enjoyed since we moved to WA. There's not too many festivals I look forward to, this one and the fresh hop festival are pretty much it.

As noted previously, there was a sizeable drop off in the size of the crowd at the OBF last year. On the other hand, the fresh hop fests in Hood River and PDX were as popular as ever. So at this point it's hard to say. There were a LOT of young people at both fests, especially the PDX version. The exceptionally nice weather might have been part of the reason for the crowd at the PDX event.

That being said, it does appear as if increasingly it's become too big of a logistics headache to put on the larger festivals. That seems to have resulted in increasing costs to the customer, which I'm sure isn't popular. And so fewer and fewer people go. So you may well be right about that.

I'm a cranky old guy who doesn't really care for larger crowds. I've gone to the fest in Everett the last 2 years, and it's about as big as I'm comfortable being around anymore. It's spread out over a couple city blocks, and there's a food truck festival as well. The breweries are mostly smaller and from the Snohomish County area, with limited distribution, and so we don't see much of them up here. No hype, roomy, fairly chill. It works for me.

Must be an old guy thing. I have the exact same reaction myself.

In its heyday, I would always try to go to the OBF as early in the week as possible and as early in the day as possible. No lines and no crowds always works for me.

Come to Farmhouse Fest in Canada! We're all polite and boring and the crowds are never big and hardly any lines. Vancouver is basically Washington right? right

So, there are two places called Pint & Pie, one in Tacoma and one in Redmond, both seem to be part of / owned by Northwest Brewing, and possibly may be renaming to reflect the brewery.

Additionally, there is a defunct Northwest Brewing listed on BA, located in Pacific, WA. This Northwest used to be Laughing Buddha.

Anyone know anything about this? Is Pint & Pie the newest evolution of Laughing Buddha?

It's the same people. I used to work near the taproom in Pacific and went a few times, they even made a Seahawks themed beer during those Super Bowl years. Then they became a contract brewer and finally closed up shop. I've followed Northwest Brewing on social media and those same accounts have recently talked about the Tacoma location.

I remember seeing their beers at Freddy's and Albertsons back in the day.
