Finally got around to Trying ZD Ice. Have to agree with the others who have said it's basically a heavier version of the OG. Still enjoyed it though.

Cocomungo is a work of magic. I don't like coconut in beers or maple either really. They taste artificial most times like Prairie beers and Last Buffalo.

But I can't get enough of cocomungo. The base is so rich and with the right amount of chocolate bitterness to go with an increased barrel presence compared to last year. The coconut and maple are well integrated accents and the beer as a whole is a masterpiece.

I can't get enough. Also it's everywhere this year. Total Wine had cases and cases and cases and even all of our smaller shops got it

The future is bright. Grabbed another pack of Behemoth while I was at the store

I just can’t get down with FFF paper labeled cans…

Hey FFF, put out the Deluxe ticket draft tapping time list so we can figure out whether it’s worthwhile….

You know...now that you say that, someone pointed out how the DB VSOJ can we had this weekend wasn't printed directly on the can (not paper but plastic or some such material glued on), and I found that surprising because of how beautiful that label art was otherwise. I actually didn't even realize it with the first can I had. Not sure if there's been discussion about that elsewhere, but would that affect your interest in that beer as well?

Wouldn’t affect my interest, but for FFF who traditionally uses either bottles or more recently printed cans those generic cans with printed paper labels look out of place. Understandable for a newer brewery with a rented canning line, but looks surprisingly cheap for a brewery like FFF that usually has had better attention to detail.…

And even if they had just used a black can with the paper label (like HA stouts) that would have gone a long way.

Kinda curious if it's part of the old school charm of Jinxy, or just a temporary stand-in until they print more cans, considering ZD, Barbarian and even the brand new Ice had printed cans.

Jinx Proof is only for the variety pack, then its gone. They are going to rotate out one of the cans quarterly or so.

For anyone else searching for Cocomungo, it just landed at Binnys this past week. I'm still hoping for the bottles to hit Beer on the Wall so I can get 1 or 2 instead of 4, but we'll see...

For lagers in Minnesota, shouldn’t you just head straight for the Schell shelves and be done with it??

You would think so, but availability is kind of hit and miss. A lot of mid-size and smaller shops don't carry Schell's (no room with all of those IPAs, seltzers, and kettle sours). Schell's No Frills pils comes through in the clutch if I can find it relatively fresh.

I had Zombie Ice yesterday on draft at Yardhouse in Glenview and it was different to me than from can. It had more of fruity sweetness, almost vanilla-like sweet flavors too. Originally, I didn't like it as much as Zombie Dust when they came in a variety pack, but I did like it a good bit on draft. Still, it's too heavy to enjoy 2-3 glasses in a sitting. Most days, I'd still go for regular Zombie Dust because it still delivers a good flavor and at a reasonable ABV where I can have a few and not be wasted.

    Cocomungo:
    $27.99 @ Binny's
    $23.00 @ 3F Kiosk
$19.99 @ Total Wine in Brookfield, WI (big stack there tonight)
...I don't get it...but go get it! :sunglasses:

more expensive at Binnys because of the 3 Floyds hype and 45 minute drive if you wanted to get it from the brewery.

cheaper at FFF because no distro costs associated

cheapest in Wisconsin because $20+ dollars for beer that isn’t at least 30 cans or Miller Light is unheard of and bordering on illegal there.

The tolls alone to cross the border will add up to more than $4. I'll pay the Binny's convenience premium and save 4 hrs.

This is kind of funny to me because Total Whine is usually overpriced enough that I completely avoid them. Makes me wonder what Woodman's price for it is.
