It would be pretty nifty if D17 was a Cognac/Bourbon Barrel blend with double vanilla.

    COFFEE CRAWL 2023!

It’s time for Side Project to celebrate the Maplewood Coffee Crawl! Join us at The Side Project Cellar, The Brewery Tasting Room and Shared Brewing on Saturday, March 18th! All three locations will be tapping our delicious Side Project base beer blended with different coffee beans from four local St. Louis roasters! It’s always fun for people to decide which coffee bean works best with the beer and to pick your favorite beer! Here’s the tapping schedule:

    • AT OPEN: Side Project Barrels 555 & 556 will be pouring at all three Maplewood locations! (Tapping at 12pm at Shared Brewing, 1pm at The Cellar and 1pm at Brewery Tasting Room)
The Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout which we selected for the 2023 Coffee Crawl were Barrels #555 and #556, a collaboration stout brewed with our friends at Monkish, aged in Weller 12yr barrels for 38 months.

    • 12pm at Shared Brewing: Shared Barrel-Aged Coffee Shop Vibes 2020

    • 1pm at The Cellar: SP Barrels 555 & 556 with La Cosecha* & Blueprint

    • 1pm at The Brewery: SP Barrels 555 & 556 with Living Room* & Sump
    *Local Maplewood Roaster!

We are gathering the specific tasting notes for each coffee bean so you'll be able to compare the beers with information about each coffee bean!

We’ll see you Saturday, March 18th! You do NOT need Coffee Crawl tickets to visit The Side Project Cellar, the Brewery Tasting Room or Shared Brewing. You can purchase each stout separately. Please note all locations are open regular business hours this Saturday.

    Thank you!

Also had D17, it's good, but not as good as DB Gen imo.

DB Gen was probably the best SP stout of 2022 IMO

D17 > OWK. Just my humble opinion.

Agreed. Both incredible but slight edge to D17

this seems like a weird comparison… vanilla stout vs. non-adjunct stout

It’s cognac/bourbon vs cognac/bourbon plus vanilla. Seems like a fair comparison to me.
