Glad to have another person join this fun thread. I look forward to seeing some Belgian beers that you are drinking!

I am really liking this one. I bought a 4 pack thinking it would go deep in March Madness. Didn’t get out of 1st round. I had never had it before (that I can remember). I will have to try the lower number next. Love that they used even numbers only.

I also had a few Orval but didn’t like that nearly as much. Photos have since been deleted.

The stories behind all of their beers are great. I also like this one about Trois Pistoles (my favorite):

Yes, I drank a bottle for the first time back in November. I think I picked it up at the local Wegmans, so it's in the Philly suburban area. My review is here

I was grocery shopping at my local Wegmans earlier today. I saw on the shelves four-packs of Chimay Red, White and Blue and said out loud "damn" and then I looked above at the BIG bottles and yes, the Green (150) was indeed there. I personally do not buy BIG bottles of high ABV beers so I just do not normally look at that section. So the 'good news' is that Chimay Green is indeed available but the 'bad news' is that it is not in a format I am willing to purchase. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Cheers!

I tend to stay away from Belgian Style beers, but this was a local so I thought WTF, why not....

A ruddy brown pour offers some reddish highlights in the sun, small head's gone in a flash. Nose gets plenty of bourbon and some fruit. Flavor is quite fruity, plum, raisin, cherry and some booze in the finish. Thin, not much carbonation. I don't usually care for Belgian styles, probably because of the yeast, not getting that here. I'll probably get this again, tasty stuff.

I am a huge fan of Belgian beer. This is my first ever post on BA. I was moved to post because, while I saw some discussion of Unibroue (one of my absolute favorite breweries), no one mentioned what I think is their best beer, which is humorously named "Terrible." Just an amazing beer. If you haven't tried this one, you should.[IMG]

Did not have high expectations for this, as I've had mixed results from Kern outside of their IPAs, but was very pleasantly surprised. While lacking in clarity and head retention, the aroma and flavor are better than quite a few Belgian/French examples of the style. Full review here (4.23). Cheers!

Congratulations on your first Beer Advocate post!

I am also a fan of most of what I’ve been able to come across brewed by Unibroue, but unfortunately have never come across this beer or even heard about this beer until your post. Will definitely be on the look out.

Thanks for sharing, hope you post more now that you have your first under your belt!

It is in our local. Or was for the past few weekends. I’ll grab one and post next week. (If any are left)

Here's my all time favorite Epic brew. a smoked Belgian Ale. This bottle is from a few years ago and is still smokey and delicious

Picked up a pack of these on close out. Best before 6 August 2025. $11.99 four pack. Very cola and root beer smelling, big sticky head malty and lightly herbal. Very enjoyable and unique.

    Enjoy

Nice! I remember loving Corsendonk Abbey Brown Ale when I first had it 20 years ago. I used to buy it regularly but haven't had a bottle in probably 10 years. I should re-visit it.

Cross posted from the March Madness thread - Unibroue's La Fin du Monde. A little sweet than some Tripels, it definitely still is an excellent representation of the style.
