$16 a 4 pack of 16's is what it is here. Great beer though so I don't mind paying for it. Cheers!

 

Sometimes you just have a lousy day. But on the bright side, I’m heating up the grill and having a beer. And, haven’t seen this one around these parts for quite a while.

 

Happy (belated) Anniversary! My wife likes your avatar. She drove a '73 bug in her teens and early 20's. Loved it!

Civil Society Airboat Tour IPA (Simcoe pellets and cryo, Citra pellets and cryo, Mosaic). I believe this is the first Civil Society beer I've had the pleasure of trying. They made a drop in Chicagoland today and I just happened to be in the area. I can see why these guys get some hype. Herbaceous dankness, yellow and ruby red grapefruit, berry, navel orange flesh and peel, lime, earthy greens, pine. Quite dry throughout with a firm bitterness. Some hop burn as it warms. Super soft and pillowy feel, but also quite chalky on the finish. I dig the hop character and the soft feel, but I don't care for the chalkiness and hop burn. Nevertheless, this is still good stuff.

 

While at Walmart I saw this "remastered" Boston Lager and decided to buy a six-pack. It has been a long time since I drank the original Boston Lager but I do detect a more crisp feel and a lighter body than the original. This new version has a lingering bitterness in the aftertaste and the body is lighter. There is very little malt complexity that I remembered in the original. Standing on its own, this new Boston Lager is just okay which is what I thought of the original.

 

A really good IPA from Fat Heads. Shocking, I know. Cheers!

Chicken was delicious. However, like an idiot, I decided to dice up a whole orange habanero pepper and toss in the salad.

Feel like I'm just returning from a vision quest. That was painful.
