But JK said everyone’s beer sucks and is astringent. That’s the cellar temperature guy

I will gladly provide you the names of beer writers who can supply you with the type of drinks journalism you’re seeking. There are many of them, and some I consider friends. Happy to give you some reading recommendations.

Yep, the Earl Grey was good, I found the Dark even better. Also looking forward to more of these variants

I am starting to wonder if there was a Mid Atlantic uprising silently happening to Todd to protect those states from our Treehouse and Trillium posts

We were about to open our last can of Quad salted. Em asked what I think the caffeine content is after going through the brew process. I realized I’ve hear so many things I don’t have an fng clue.

Anyone have an science on coffee stouts and the caffeine?

Nice American barleywine today. No limit, so should be great to age a few

I think most breweries are going to age on whole beans or cracked beans, so there is not going to even be as much extraction happening as with cold brewing. As an alternative method breweries might even just be adding cold brew, which will dilute ABV, so they are likely not adding a huge amount. My take is, either way it is done, think of a coffee stout as a watered down cup of coffee. Not a ton of caffeine in my estimation.

I know they don't say which happened on every can, but we've seen both beers with cold brew added from TH and beers conditioned on roasted beans. They def do both. I would suggest the most caffeine you could expect would be, tops, the equivalent of 2 oz of cold brew per pint. They already get in tremendous coffee flavor from malts alone when need be.

I don't know for sure, but this topic has come up before on BA and the consensus seems to be that it is such a trace amount of caffeine in coffee beers
