Grodziskie cans are a taproom only release I believe. Not sure if the Altbier was canned (might be draft only) but even if were it would be taproom only. There is a Sticke Altbier collab with Binny's which was recently released and distributed to Binny's stores. So neither of the two you mentioned will be distributed in cans to WI unfortunately.

From the graphic in the OP, I think the Bocks category is where you might see WI distribution of cans possibly (and the four core year round beers, of course).

Yah, no distro to Wisconsin for those two beers. Mostly our Core 4, Lager, and Bocks up that way. Come visit!

Thanks for the info (and @Jaycase). This might push me into getting down there soon!

Does Dovetail not filter their beer or purposely go for a cloudy look...both their helles and vienna have no clarity at all and per style should right?

    Bad portable canning.

How were the heads, crash fast or hold up?

Sorry. Not sure what you are asking here. The Vienna was also sour.

Heads on any of the Dovetail beers: strong and resilient, or sudsy and super-fast settling?

Another sign of questionable canning. Dovetail uses (or used) one of the portable canning systems that travels from brewery to brewery and it just doesn't seem to do their beer the proper justice.

I've mentioned having their Helles on tap before and drinking no other beers at a well-stocked tavern that night -- it was that good.

We don't filter our beers. I know that having an unfiltered Kölsch is against convention, but we don't brew in Köln, so it's really not a concern of ours.

We also don't use portable canning.

Hope this, uh, clears some things up.

If you feel the Vienna was sour, feel free to to send me any can info. We haven't had any reports of that kind.

I dont think the canning is why the beers are cloudy ... I think they're just brewed that way.

That's kind of what I assumed.

The ones I've had were very clear. Good cellarmanship?

I've had two cans so far with this canning date and # and both were sour.

I'll try another tonight but it was definitely off. I looked at recent reviews and didn't see any notes of this so not sure what the issue is. The sourness really stood out drinking it side by side with the Goldfinger Vienna but even when I sat and drank it solo the next day it overwhelmed the beer.

What little head there was faded in about three seconds on this can I just opened.

I also noticed the can had a lot of give to it. I almost feel like if I squeeze real hard I might crush it open. Not quite but it has a lot more give as I squeeze it than other cans I have in the fridge including Dovetail Hefe.

Just opened can #3 and that sourness is once again there. Drinking side by side this time with Aardwolf Vienna and again it sticks out like a sore thumb. Definitely issues with these cans unless that is how you want it to taste. I'm giving my last can to the local brewer in town who is excellent and without mentioning any issues I'm going to ask him his take on it as well. I'd be stunned if he doesn't notice it too.
