I am not a big Apple flavor person, and didn’t think I’d like it, but I was wrong. I ended up loving Apple Brandy.

I only have one can left. I would never had imagined it would be on tap beyond a DW release. With the awesome weather it looks like Hopleaf is the place to go tomorrow or Thursday. May hit Green Lady after depending on what they leftover from their Veil event today. @GuyFawkes

Moving to the far suburbs is the price to pay Frank, but you do have really good breweries out there to fall back on that are hard / impossible for me to reach. Penrose / Art History is the one Metra spot I can hit two very good breweries in one visit.

Well, kudos to Revolution on another release that was remarkable only for how unremarkable it was. An appropriate choice of platform (i.e., no fees) with ample supply and well-managed logistics.

Wasnt there an article pre pandemic from the Hopleaf owners about how the rise of breweries were killing bars? It made
It seem like they were going under imminently, but a pandemic later they still seem to be around and more popular than ever.

coconut Deth is the DW beer that I have bought the most of this year. It might be the best coconut stout I have had in years. We will see how good DB Benthic is... that's the only contender left this year so far.

I can go along with that. Coconut beers are hit or miss for me and I had a good sampling of them these last several months and Coconut Deth was likely the best of the bunch from them.

Any fans of Rev's Deep Woods program should listen to the most recent Beer Temple podcast: https://www.craftbeertemple.com/podcasts

Marty was on the panel. Just tons of information about Deep Woods and barrel aged beers in general.

I don't think Hopleaf was in any danger, more Micheal Roper expressing his disappointment that so many breweries are focused on their own taprooms when bars like his supported and helped keep craft beer alive for decades.

I think a head to head battle is in order. GDB vs Ashtray. Let’s see who wins

Also the competitive disadvantage that breweries could serve to-go while bars like his could not.

Hate to be the "uh, ahktually" guy...but Hopleaf can sell bottles and crowlers to go.

Source: me, who sneaks that stuff into movie theaters after leaving Hopleaf.

The unboxing on IG which revealed Code Switch, Honey Jacket, Strawberry Jacket, and VSOR didn’t make me feel great going into Friday. Love VSOR and get what they’re doing, but damn.

Doesn't Art History brew house beers for them that they sell in 4-packs?

I'll buy your unopened box for face on Friday since the site wouldn't let me buy one in time.

I opened my last can of code switch recently and it is holding up really well. It’s been a while since I had it and It reminded me a lot of lumberstruck except the body on code switch is fuller and berries replace the red wine. I’d be really happy to get another can in my lotto box.

Willing to play roulette still, but would be willing to part with the exact box I mentioned if I were unlucky enough to get it.
