Saw an outdoor show there last year (I think they also have an indoor venue). They had a stage setup off to the far side opposite Route 5 if you've been there before. Lots of Adirondack chairs and people on the lawn using blankets. I guess the biggest positive for me was that it wasn't terribly crowded, probably because they are limited by what the parking lot can accommodate. Lines were longer than on a normal night but they had additional can sales going outside if you didn't want to wait. But overall, nothing really out of the ordinary.

If someone picks up JjjP Citra Citra Citra, let us know how it is.

I was at that Drive By Truckers show as well.
Orderly, good sound plenty of room.
Be advised that TH is petioning the local Board to go from the current 500 person cap for events
to the maximum under the Town bylaw to 1500 person cap
    The town appears willing
    Decision expected soon.
That will mean offsite parking and shuttles for larger shows.
Hope to see you all at Yo La Tengo as I will not miss that one.
    Cheers

Nice visit this past Monday, tried Wafflebanger for lulz but didn’t get much out of it other than it’s a nice IPA. Is “Bright Mosaic” = plain old OG Bright? Haven’t had one in so long and man is it good.

For someone who didn't have Curiosity the first time around, is this one of those must-have OG Curiositys?

TH recieved the 1500 person cap from the town
So some offsite parking and shuttles will now be part of the larger show experience.
    Cheers all

Ok, I had it tonight with some friends, it was more of an informal beer share.
It was a little disappointing, not bad but not gggreat either. Just a standard treehouse DIPA.

Pink is not worthy of being a core beer. Especially given the way the alter/dopple are overlooked.

Grabbed it (jjjp ccc) yesterday, I think it’s on par with with jjjp g+g+g, I’m a big fan. I think it exemplifies TH’s ability to push hop density while maintaining a fulfilling drinking experience. I don’t drink other hyped breweries that often so I can’t really compare, but I’m impressed that TH has been able to push scale while putting out so many great beers

Interesting, did you get to try the Galaxy+Galaxy+Galaxy version? Thought that while there were some rough edges, it was overall a triumph. Anything in particular about the Citra one that you found underwhelming? I feel like some of the core IPAs get overwhelmed by the house yeast a little but these JPs have really been hop saturated so curious what made it feel more like a regular TH DIPA vs something special in a different way.

It drank a little raw and harsh to my palate. Like it needed a little more time to mellow out. I’m also beginning to suffer from seasonal allergies, so that may have affected my taste. I still have a couple left, so it’ll be interesting if I feel the same when I have another.
I was also underwhelmed with the GGG version, but I did pick up a four pack of the most recent batch, as I got sold by Nate’s post on Twitter saying it’s even better that the original.

How have the crowds been on Saturday evenings? Like after 5pm

It was pretty insane on Saturday when we left around 6. We got there a bit earlier and lucked out to have the two chairs at the firepit. At which point we just watched people attack open chairs like seagulls grabbing sandwiches on the beach in august. Long line and wait for beer. Crowded outside. It is what it is. It’ll only increase once the full room opens around Memorial Day. I’d imagine shuttle and maybe a police detail. Which is never fun. But again, can only work with what they have. Glad to have it too. Remember some has to be saved for to go. Unless they kill that system of saved spots once the big building opens

Also note that dogs are for sure not currently allowed. Had to hear the awkward conversation of asking them to leave a few times while there. It’s a kind ask, but it’s a now and if you wait they’ll send a different person over to make the point. Unfortunately the licensing won’t allow it for now.
