    Nothing wrong with the beer or pic; it's a darker one, for sure. But it definitely didn't taste oxidized - as far as I could tell. :slight_smile:

    True. I have gotten spoiled. Gonna test my oyster shucking skills real soon tonight. Mussels require no talent.

    Wife put in an order to Fulton Fish Market in NY. They ship. We order oysters from there we cannot get by us (some even from the west coast). Check it out if you are a fan of oysters or other seafood.

    Gotta say thanks for the awesome beer you sent.

    Poured a dirty brown color, generally opaque, with a thin, patchy, light khaki colored head. Nice, earthy sweetness; a bit of spirits cutting through. Rich flavor; cocoa; tobacco juice; leather; mildly boozy. Heavy body; thick and velvety on the palate; semi-dry.

    A tremendous beer, rich and complex. It has a deep balance throughout, and is surprisingly easy to sip, no harshness, just soft beauty caressing your palate and tickling your brain cells.

    $2 Old Fashioned at Johnny's Gold Brick.

    I thank you for the beer box. I am really enjoying it. You are a good soul.

    One day if you and your better half have an hour or two of free time in a visit to Richmond I can put together a seafood critter combo of oysters, clams, mussels, and shrimp. It will give me a chance to show off my shucking skills. But of course you gotta like shellfish and definitely not allergic.
