Interesting that you found Trillium there. I am jealous! Trillium is not to be found in Richmond to my knowledge.

I have had a few Trillium pale ales, IPAs, and DIPAs via the generosity of @TheIPAHunter. All were just great brews!

 

I’m headed down the shore and making a quick pit stop at Backward Flag Brewing in Forked River. This place is off the beaten track but brews some good beer with a lot of attitude. I’m drinking Coyote Brown IPA, brewed with Centennial, Mandarina Bavaria, milk sugar, and vanilla. It’s like a hybrid Red and Black IPA. Great stuff. Cheers to the weekend, BAs!

 

We have some craft beer enthusiasts down here that have been doing a national craft beer radio show - Beer Guys Radio - and they had noted some beers from Trillium had showed up around town. That's the only way I even knew about it. The bottle shops they noted were not close to me, but I took a flyer on my local one because I know the beer manager and he brings in some rare stuff from time to time (he brought in Jack's Abby at one time, got me hooked on that). Couldn't believe it when I saw it. It was $19.00 for a 4 pack of the Italian Pilsner! YIKES!!!!

 

@ATL6245 Glad you enjoyed the Trilium lager drop. We have seen several Trilium "Pale Ale" types and a Porter here in Western NC and would agree that it was a very nice one-time splurge!
Enjoying an older Sierra Nevada IPA today. This has held up fairly well since it was refrigerated. However, I'll stick with the more traditional SNBC IPA's going forward (Celebration, Dankful, Torpedo).
Watched a SRV documentary on Prime last night so am inspired to go back thru his albums in chronological order. Stevie is one of my favorite Blues artists. Such a tragic loss back in 1990.

Coastal Evacuation an 8% ABV Double IPA from Cape May Brewing in Cape May NJ. Nice brew

 

I had to check that beer out. Tire Hands website says it has Chinook, Simcoe, Citra, Hallertau Blanc, and Columbus hops in it. Wow, that is a LOAD of hops!

 

I'd image the porter was especially good. Do you remember what it costs there? Man it was ridiculous here. I liked the beer but would not buy again because of the $$$$.
