https://www.thebruery.com/collections/all-beer It looks like Bruery has significantly expanded their shipping footprint, now including every state + DC except Alaska, Hawaii, and Utah. Free shipping for orders over $100 with some exceptions. I'm very excited by this, but my wallet not so much
The website https://www.thebruery.com/pages/delivery currently says: Shipping The Bruery is proud to offer shipping to all of AZ, CA, DC, ND, NH, OH, OR, PA, VA, VT and WA, with more States on the way.
Shipping (almost) Nationwide! Now shipping to 47 States + D.C.! Join Reserve Society Select for Instant Access to limited releases, discounts on your favorite beers and more? on there website
Looks like the beers I’d be most interested in are available only by joining the Preservation Society (at $70/quarter)—but apparently those ship only to CA, DC, ND, NH, OH, PA, VA, and VT—or available for pickup in CA or DC (which doesn’t help). Not sure, but I think I can already pick up their more “regular” offerings locally. When buying beer gets complicated, with memberships and societies and allocations, I immediately become less interested.
Joining the Bruery Society: How does shipping work? For an additional fee, we can ship your beers to your doorstep. We ship nearly Nationwide however we are unable to ship to Alaska, Hawaii and Utah. Please note that a signature from someone 21 years or older is required for shipments of alcohol. $325.00 but it looks like it is already closed.
If you like barrel aged beer joining the Reserve Society is a no brainer. I’m glad almost everybody in the country now has easy access!
The only thing I could think is maybe they're using a similar loophole(?) as Tavour where they employ a local delivery service to actually deliver the beer to you. I'm not sure how that somehow removes the legal hurdle....but it's the only thing I can think of.
If the society thing is able to ship to all of the states (rather than the 10 or so listed in the FAQ), I'd consider joining. I really like their barrel aged stuff.
That's where I'm at with all of this. I believe they can but just haven't updated shipping information on the society page. Assuming they can ship society bottles to all states, I'm 100% in for next year
I emailed them and the society is open for shipping to all of the 48 states they ship to, they just havn't had time to update the FAQ yet. I'm in for society in 2024, but am trying to decide whether to splurge on the society box which gives 12 society beers in a single shipment in 2023.
