Summerfest Lookout Thread (2023)

This is what I saw yesterday, went down the street cause I was looking for something. Figured I'd check the SN section and all I saw was Power Days as the seasonal.

 

Available at Total Wines in the Tampa/St Pete area and all down the west coast to Naples. I paid 14.99 / 12. Most have 6 packs for 9.99. Good stuff. Went back for 2 more 12's.

 

i picked up last week in Palm Beach Gardens (Total Wine)

 

I just bought my first 12 pack of Summerfest. This one is dated 3/27. The Torpedo is dated 3/13

I've tended to drink it out of a pilsner style glass, but I'm sure a beecher would be just fine. I also used to drink it out of the bottle quite often, but that's not an option anymore. No complaints, just glad to see the return.

Dunno, but it fits German Pils to my palate -- maybe even Dortmunder.

My go-to glass these days.

 

Where were you able to find some?

 

You aint lyin about CT distribution, I hate to see new beers being released and reviewed on here, meanwhile we don't get to see them (if at all) for 3-6 months after the rest of the country

 

Got my first taste of Summerfest in a long time.

The older I get, the more I appreciate a well crafted session beer like this. Don't get me wrong, I'm still down for ultra-hoppy DIPAs and double-digit stouts.

But, SN Summerfest is going to be perfect with the tacos my wife and I are making tonight.

 

I came across a six pack canned on 04/03 so I grabbed it, drinking nicely. It has an interesting cracker-y/yeasty thing going on but it plays right into the style and a thumbs up from me, a flavorful session beer. A solid iteration and going from memory this is one of the better versions and if you're a fan of the style buy it and let SN know that we are happy that they brought it back...in a sea of IPAs it's nice to see this again on the shelves.

 

Finally. FINALLY! Summerfest showed up yesterday at one of my two favorite stores. It was well worth the wait. Nice balance of hops and malt, and smooth. It goes well with left-over pizza and a crisp garden salad.

 

The Total Wine beer dude told me that Summerfest would be dropping sometime in May in Arizona. We will see!

 

The perfect pairing right there. I really enjoyed the can I had last night and can't wait to crack another.

And thankfully it looks like sales are doing well (the store I bought it from was almost sold out already) so hopefully SN is pleased with this and takes the hint. Lagers FTW!
