Hell, go all the way > Permanent Embargo.

It'd be funny if it was a sticker-labeled can.

Band-Aid but that's usually considered an off-flavor and not from the real thing."

I assume a lot of research went into this that would explain how it could possibly be superior to dumping a bunch of grilling spices into half a can of ordinary beer (or just rubbing the chicken with the spices and using half a can of unadulterated ordinary beer).

Come on now... we haven't heard everything... is it barrel-aged or double dry-hopped even?

This sounds like the Seinfeld episode where George is fake working between Tyler Chicken (I guess they couldn't use the Tyson name) and the Yankees.

    "Instead of beer, alcoholic chicken"

If it's boneless, it won't be able to stand up over the beer can.

Looks like they invented the first beer can’t chicken.

Is that from Perdue? They have no idea what embargo means, do they.

I never did a beer can chicken. I guess that if the spices are correct this could work if it’s in a printed can and not plastic label. To actually drink this does not seem like it would taste good, as a cooking accessory why not.

    Enjoy

In this case I'm guessing they sent this out ahead of time to various media outlets, asking them to not publish until they had made their announcement. If an outlet agreed, they would send further, detailed, info that the outlet could have ready to go at the appointed time.

I reread and see that last part of the post. I still don’t think embargo is the correct word.

    Enjoy

Yeah, that article would definitely be fightin’ words for a lot of the rednecks that I grew up around:grin:
From my own experience(pretty much just with the aforementioned rednecks), it’s more about the overall ‘ritual’, I guess you could say. It was part of an event, a sacred part. The cherry on top at the end a really fun get-together, and to be fair, we were usually pretty drunk by the time we actually ate the chicken. So, I’m by no means ruling out any sort of psychological effect that would lead to a biased view. In fact, I’m pretty sure that’s exactly what it is. Fun times and fond memories though.

I'll take one for the team and review it, spices and all. Wait - is this re-labeled surplus Bud Light?
