Dark Lord Day (2023)

I'm probably packing some breakfast burritos so we can scarf them down on the way in or shortly after as opposed to relying on any laxative laden hotel "food" for breakfast. After that, the fest food is usually tits.

As far as bottles, we will definitely be slaying some whales, but most of them will be smaller bottles this time, so for those of you I'm looking to meet with I'll try to find you early!

They are all smaller format (except CW brew) but I feel like I may need to swap in some lower ABV brews ... a saison or something. I know the day is a dark beer marathon and it's always nice to break things up.

 

I’m going to bring a bunch of macro light lager cans and bottles with Treehouse and Hill Farmstead labels slapped over them to gauge the effects of hype within the beer community. “You got to try this Treehouse clear beer bro! It’s sick!”

 

You kid, but Tree House's lagers are incredible, and even better on-site when they pour via Lukr. Still, in cans, Solitude and Little Fire are two of the best beers I've had in the past couple years. I'm getting at least a case of each next time I'm able.

 

Than I shall also tell people they are Treehouses’ new LUKR technology cans (shakes can vigorously before opening and pouring copious amounts of foam into tasting glasses).

 

DLD festival map is posted,they have a vintage bottle booth and "wheel of death" booth, curious as to what that is.

 

Wild guess is it involves Malort

 

Vintage bottles going to be a lot of last 2 years I’m guessing- vanilla, chemtrail, adult sized beverage, Muerte ans Casino Beach….

 

Decent food options.

 

Now I just need the band set times and I'll be happy.

 

See, this is the kind of shit I don't need available to me after a long day of day drinking. It's the type of thing where I'd usually say no way. But deep in my cups my brain's all, "Dude that seems fun and you could totally do that." Name definitely checks out.
