3 Floyds Trolling us again

 

Anxiously awaiting the “Handjee killer” Untappd reviews.

 

Highly doubt that but for sure a Vanilla Deth killer.

 

I know everyone has a different preference for presence and such, but for me that is a low bar. I always got almost no vanilla from VD.

 

Handjee has honestly been relatively disappointing the last several years. 2017 was the last year it lived up to its name IMO.

This past years Handjee actually reminded me a bit of Vanilla Deth. I really enjoyed VD in contrast to a lot of people, though. Regardless, Handjee didn't live up to the hype for me and I'd rather have had another pack of Vanilla Deth. Going to drink this year's bottle of Handjee fresh and see if it changes my mind.

 

Maybe I missed this in Sex Ed, but I didn't think you could get a VD from a Handjee. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe a certified doctor could chime in.

Is back for July release, Crushing Mass in September, and Trolls Trolls Trolls in December.

 

Thank goodness that Trolls drop isn't compounding with the return of DLD hype, not sure the beer world could handle that right now.

The new 3 Floyds website wreaks of effort. It’s not normal to let the customer know what’s coming, so they can plan a purchase. FFF must have hired an outside consultant.

 

Had Lord High Fixer yesterday, it tastes like bitter pineapple juice. Its pretty incredible how under a punch of pine the flavor of a can of Dole comes through.

 

Any idea of the hops going into that one? Seen the variety pack and want P&J, but was worried about Fixer as Barbarian was awful.

 

Maybe the flavor is temperature dependent. I drank a HLF straight out of the fridge and it was flavorless swill so had no plans to ever open the other cans. It had a thick body, but no juice notes…maybe I’ll put one on the counter to warm up for an hour and revisit based on jplachy’s experience.
