Help!! I am unable to find a quality bottle shop in the Fullerton, CA area. I am used to Bottleworks (Wallingford neighborhood Seattle) Beer Junction (West Seattle) and Super Deli (Arbor Heights neighborhood) level of bottle shops. Does anyone know of a quality bottle shop in northern Orange County, or southern LA County. I have heard rumors of one that is also a deli, but I don't know the name of it. Any help is appreciated. I appreciate a good variety of US and Euro breweries, with the darker, malty beers the best.
Vendome Fullerton should help. And if you want to make a 15-20 minute drive south, I suggest Bradley’s Liquor in Tustin. Oh, and course there is Windsor Home Brew in Anaheim!
They've been mentioned already but Windsor's in Anaheim and Mr K's are the 2 best bottle shops in North OC imo. Mr K's has the widest variety of old and new, Windsors is very well curated and has a nice mix of everything newer. If you wanted to venture further than that, there's a Windsors in Costa Mesa as well (the OG shop) and O'shea Brew Co in Laguna Niguel.
I’ll second and third that on Mr K and Windsor (Costa Mesa/Anaheim). Mike at Mr K does a great job when it comes to the craft selections. Scott Windsor is the one to ask questions on everything and anything craft. I haven’t been to Vendome. I have Mr Kegs down the block from me. But you’re too far from HB. I would definitely hit up Windsor Anaheim. They have 20ish taps for in house consumption. And across the street is Bottle Logic. Down the street from Windsor is BreweryX. I think they have a pretty nice setup for a bigger size taproom. Stage for a band. Too bad their beers are weak.
if / When you go to Mr. K's, its right next to The Bruery, which is the brewery that put OC on the map, so you might as well stop by for a tasting.
Hacienda Beverage in Brea on Brea Blvd between Imperial Blvd and Bastanchury Rd. is pretty dedicated to craft beer.
This is likely Hollingshead in Orange. Haven't been there in a few years, but they used to have a pretty good selection of cans/bottles and a small bar that had some good stuff on tap. Never eaten there.
Hollingsheads is good and bad. Great tap list and selection in their coolers, but it’s pricy. Sandwiches are also insanely pricy and are made with Oscar Meyer quality meat. Also, not trying to pick sides here, but they have a tv dedicated to NewsMax - which is just a weird flex to me.
OC voted majorly liberal last presidential election, actually. More people live in Santa Ana than Newport Beach, etc. We just get stereotyped because of what Republicans hate - the media.
yeah, OC is purple these days. some of the coastal cities and in south county are still very much red, but OC no longer the GOP stronghold that it once was
