Equilibrium Rho - Mostra Ghost Bear Espresso Imperial Stout, 11% ABV. Pours extremely thick and black with a beautiful 6+ finger brown head that was sturdy and left foamy lacing. Not sure what that dark brown saw-tooth in the head is about. Nose is heavy coffee, roast malt, and brown sugar. Taste follows, plus chocolate and caramel/toffee, quite sweet, slightly bitter, no alcohol flavor. Thick and creamy mouthfeel, overall world-class. Thickest beer I've ever had.

This beer held up well. It lost some carbonation and some of the flavors I recall, but it is still special.

I had one of these late last year and it was pretty decent. BCBS is no Parabola, but still good!

This is the third of several from my cellar I've enjoyed since early April. This batch from September 2020, drinking well but not at peak. This was cellared (dark F50-55 degree underground cellar), not refrigerated.

I'd say peak for Bell's Expedition is the same as 90% + of imperial stouts, when released.

Only reason I cellared this or anything else is the fact I have far too much beer. Got it down under 300, though brought back a shit load from Wisconsin / Northern Illinois for beers I can't get in Chicago.

Hoping to be under 200 beers by year end, and in the 60-90 sweet spot by the end of 2024, to have enough daily variety but also to cycle through everything within 3 months of purchase.

Love I can get Speedway Stout typically whenever, glad you can get Parabola on a similar schedule. I stopped buying glasses years ago (beyond replacing tasters for festivals after I break them), just fortunate to pick up free glassware at their release events.

Enjoying your street shots from Los Angeles as always, hoping to get back next February/March.

HiDef - Black Hole BBA Imperial Stout. Barleywine next to it on right
0 adjuncts and it tasted like Mocha! Nice bitter chocolate flavor up front and finished with a nice vanilla and brown sugar backend. Aged in Buffalo Trace Barrels

Ten7 Brewing (North Wales, PA) - Year 2 (a re-release of their anniversary beer)

Imperial Stout brewed with Cocoa and vanilla. Rich fudgey flavor in the aroma and taste, but a bit too sweet for me. Nice smooth thick mouthfeel.

    Glad y'all get to enjoy!
I live exactly 23.1 miles from the Brevard, NC brewery/taproom and i find it very interesting i CANNOT find Ten Fidy or Variants at the high-end bottle shops in the region! We get mainly their Dales, mixed 12 pack, and hazy IPA distro in the area.
Da Boss and i will have to stop after one of our hikes and pick some up in the near future!
    Cheers!

I can't find Speedway out here or Narwhal. Same crap . Unbelievable

    I blame consumer culture

people only wanna drink Mid Tier crap

No room for the person who want a non Adjuncted stout

Central Waters Fantasma Cosmico Chocolate RBA Imperial Stout, 11.6% ABV. I rated this 3.84. I was hoping for more given that it's a RBA Imperial Stout with chocolate, cinnamon, and vanilla. Sounded right up my alley, if it weren't fore the vegetal peppers.
