Also dropped an IP ISO:FT in the Midwest forum if anyone is in to that sort of thing.

I guess CSV isn’t having a public release and it’s already off tap at the brewery

Was there a post, or an email? -Or why do you think there won’t be a public release?

One of the raffle prizes at the Shared Anniversary party yesterday was “cans of the SOLD OUT CSV”.

Wonder if that means an upcoming public release on Reverberant since they didn’t label that raffle item the same way

Well, that’s really disappointing. CSV with no public release? Fuckin a.

Yeah, it feels like a tough pill to swallow.

New process, they may not have made a ton, I get it. So it's LC only, and in a short window. But then go no-limit? I get they don't want to fridge all those cases of CSV, but damn.

Reminds me of the feeling after the ph1 release that was one per person, but then they lifted the limit once the line was gone.

Definitely saw at least one guy picking up like 36 of em. I was lucky to get a few.. chose not to go overboard to let others have a chance.

Curious about the nitro cans. I missed out on CSV, but bought a 4pk of Lyles porter. I shook the can and poured hard into the glass. I did not see any hints of nitrogen. I've opened other nitro cans and you see the beer/nitro blend where it slowly settles at the top with a small head. It just poured jet black. Curious if I got a bunk can or if the style SP uses for their nitro cans just don't produce that perfect nitro pour? Definitely disappointed.

I haven’t had an issue with either Lyles or CSV. They don’t give quite the effect of a nitro tap, but you definitely get that slow rise of the bubbles to the top.

From a quick browsing of Untappd, it appears the two new Reverberant bottles were being poured at DLD. They are listed as Meadowfoam Honey Barleywines in the description so this has me curious about the level of sweetness we can expect. The limited number of reviews are pretty strong, however lacking any real tasting notes or descriptions.

I cracked the bourbon Reverberant last night. I really enjoyed it. It's been a minute since I've had a Maple in the Wood but I would say the overall sweetness was relatively in line with MitW. Predominant flavor was caramel / toffee; I also got notes that reminded me of Langst / some of the Private Press munichwines

I’d love hear a side by side notes, it’s hard to trust reviews out there, apperently you can taste the rare in the rye

I could understand the rye hype if there was a different recipe, but given it’s the same base, just aged in different barrels, I don’t think barrel alone will make such a noticeable difference to justify the hype. But what do I know

Barrel can certainly affect hype; see VWBBT.
