Yeah, same guy that helped build Beachwood before going to Noble.

I didn’t know he worked at Green Cheek at any point, haven’t been paying much attention to be honest. All I saw was Brad’s name in an article promoting Villain’s and remembered the name from years back as the guy in charge of brewing around the same time when Noble’s beers took a huge dive (after Evan left). Evan is probably one of the best brewers in the country and a great mentor. I’m sure Brad’s learned a thing or two since then if he’s been working with him over at Green Cheek. And you are right, they are not catering to beer nerds so it doesn’t really matter what I think anyway.

i'm surprised noble is still around honestly. only reason i ever go there anymore is because you can park there and it's a short walk to the honda center. the beer has been crap for years

as for villains, i'm pretty excited to give it a shot

adding everywhere brewing to the great suggestions above. if you can make the drive over, it will be well worth your time and also family friendly

    With one exception: Naughty Sauce.

They only brew this bad boy occasionally (2-3x a year?) and I try to trot over to Noble whenever they release it. Somehow, they managed not to screw up the recipe over the years since Evan first brewed this beer for Noble.

Wish I could say the same for the Showers series.

Just go to Green Cheek and get New Adventures, it's Naughty Sauce by another name brewed by Evan. As luck would have it, Green Cheek released a cinnamon role variant with a higher ABV called Morning Adventures just yesterday!

Yeah, they should definitely brew it more regularly.

I tried Morning Adventures yesterday and it was really good. Cinnamon wasn't overwhelming and the increased ABV was nice.

    Remember Bean Bump?!?

Yes, both of these are good choices, although for better scenery you might want to check out American Dream in Pacific City - good tap list and decent burgers and right on PCH across the street from the ocean (and you can walk to the pier, etc.).

Thanks again for the info everyone. I tried cramming 10lbs of activities into a 5lb sack. My hotel had fresh bottle logic ipas on tap and I enjoyed them immensely. I didn't get much further than disney proper and $15 blue moons. But the bit of local beers I had were great. Next visit we are going to take more time in hunnington. I'll get to explore more beer then.
