    Good day BAs! Off to another start to a potentially decent day. Currently 51F/14C and will allegedly get up to 76F/25C on this sunny and mild day. I may have to drive to Akron to pick up some beer!

    Good morning Ozzy, and happy new (to me) beer Tuesday.

    New beer in question is a lovely tripel from Belgium.

    Tripel LeFort. 8,8% ABV in a 330ml bottle.

    Very good! Refreshing, sweet, Orange peels and vanilla on the palate.

    Purchased at the local Leclerc supermarket (French Safeway/Walmart…).

    Slept in, first time in weeks…some coffee before we venture into the National Park - Lagunitas’ Willettized:

    Bottled 2022 in Cali. Poured at 50°. Whiskey and roast coffee nose/taste. Warmth in mouth from 13.1%. Dry rye finish. I haven’t had one of these in a long while. A little drier than I usually swing, but an awesome breakfast brew!

    The haze of smoke still hangs over the mountains…not sure how much we will see, but into the Park we will shortly go…Cheers from Estes Park, CO!

    Yeah, day off.
    Slept like CRAP last night after those 3 big beers... another reminder I'm not a 20-, 30-, or even 40- year old anymore. Woof.

    Good run this morning, despite that lack of sleep, an hour with some 30" speed surges done with caution so as to not aggravate my chicken tendons (H'string).

    NA UA Ital Pils placebo to save the day - keep me honest(ish).

    On the menu:

    Breakfast burrito with Free Range eggs, chopped bacon, some diced onion, some salsa with some fresh sweet cherry tomatoes.

    Pale, cloudy yellow body; thick, white head, sculpted and semi-creamy; sticky rings of foam. Blast of tropical fruit and fresh citrus aromas; papaya and lemon, banana and pineapple. Bitter and citrus flavor; a touch of oat; white grapefruit rind. Medium body; sharp and acidic; semi-dry feel.

    Generally a nice, light, rather refreshing sessionable beer.

    Beautiful day today. The flood has receded and the parkway path along the Mississippi River is back open for business. Be back later after a walk for $2 pints at Tap 22. Hopefully there's some Toppling Goliath King Sue left.
