What about specific hops? I think that comes into play as well, do you?

I'm always entertained by these posts, especially as it pertains to IPA drinkers. No further comment.

I have not personally noticed hop variety as a variable in how long it occurs before hop fade happens. For all of my homebrewed beers (I have a Motueka IPA in the dry hop stage right now) no matter what hop varieties were used the batches followed a common beer aging phenomenon.

If you have specific information concerning the aspect of hop fade timing and hop variety I would be interested in reading it.

    Cheers!

No I was interested in your take, I have no info. But I do notice beers with a large amount of hops used, the brewer says to drink now and don't save. So I guess I'm thinking of how much hops are used and not the variety. An example would be la cumbre elevated. I notice after 6 weeks the beer gets malty. Sierra nevada on the other hand can honestly go maybe 6 months. Thanks.
