Gotta admit, it's been a lazy day for me. Got the chores and errands done this morning and just put a spatchcocked chicken in the oven for dinner.





One of my favorite tunes ..

 

I got my walk in today near the ponds and the Osprey nest. On the way back I noticed two large birds flying toward the nest and both landed. That is unusual because one is always there sitting on the eggs.


I checked out the web cam when I came home and found indeed 2 of the 3 eggs have hatched and they are getting a fish meal. You have to wait until one of the adults gets out of the way to see the hatchlings. See you in a few hours.

Race #3 of 7 of the USATF NE Mountain Running Circuit today.. and it went awesome!

So pumped with my results and field placement... ran the Wachusett Mountain 10K up+down under an hour was my goal.



Now enjoying the weather with my usual beach posse. Ahhhh.

It’s a beautiful holiday Saturday. The biggest Memorial Day parade in Morris County is in our little town and it’s a reassuring slice of Americana. This afternoon we took our daughter for a hike along the Columbia Trail in Hunterdon County and are now cooling off at Highrail Brewing. I’m having 1810, a nutty, roasty Red IPA. Cheers from High Bridge, NJ.
