That keg from last week could have been months old. You can bet it wasn't less than 3 days old.
I'd have an easier time picturing him giving a stunner to the customer who is shaming a brewery for selling beer less than 2 months old.

The saddest thing about many of these pictures is the prospect for brewery success if more and more consumers adopt these impossible freshness standards.

Sierra Nevada pale ale is one beer that IMO ages relatively well. We only have a Best before date here and usually I’m assuming they are two-three months old which for anybody near their Californian and NC breweries would be totally off putting.

Not sure how common it is in America, but my local beer store owner once in a while graciously gives me (as a freebie) an expired IPA. Honestly past six months old they’re flat and not palatable. I just believe that while she’s being nice because I’m a faithful customer she has found an easier way to get rid of them rather than recycle or throw them away.

If I limited my IPA or other hoppy beer choices to less than 2 months old where I shop, it would seriously hamper my selections. I'm perfectly fine with a 3 month old IPA. Especially canned. But then again, I'm no expert. I don't see too many people checking freshness dates while I'm beer shopping. My sad beer experience was I was at a local convenience store that actually brings in really good beers that are hard to find anywhere else, checking freshness dates of potential purchases that day, and was scolded by the proprietor to quit handling the merchandise so much. Never been back.

That's just bizarre, was he worried you would bruise the beer?

If they're going to continue trying to sell it they should at least cut the price way down. $17.99 is really adding insult to injury.

Are you saying that you thought one glass of Pliny from the bottle was alright and a second glass from the same bottle tasted like sour vinegar to you?

I don’t have a picture of it but no joke one store in our town has Stones 12 days of Christmas pack or whatever from two years ago. I want to tell the store manager but I also don’t want to sound like a male Karen lmfao. And it’s still priced at $25.00
