What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #3877

This batch was a little lighter in terms of strength, but still tastes like smoked sausage to me (vs. ham). Hope you liked it. @beergoot said the smoke was there but lighter than his preference. Thought it would be neat to get you guys a rarer style, at least for American brewers. Sad Spiteful's Roggenbeer wasn't released until after Sheboygan. It is full of rye and quite excellent (as is all things Rye!).

It is my favorite year round saison. They are hit and miss for me, but Apex Predator is a home run. IMO. Dan, it's a shame it doesn't get to you as often as it should.

The beer today is a year old, if you refrigerate they hold up great.

Glad you really liked it. Got it to you guys to see your takes. It has been my favorite local seasonal.

Sadly, you won't find any fresher versions because this was their last batch for distribution. It's supposed to return in the future, but draft only. This beer holds up well, and I have 12, maybe more stashed to enjoy throughout the Summer.

Damn, this band is fucking good!

I'm glad you know them! Isis are one of my all time favorite bands but they're pretty underground. I rarely ever meet another fan. Sumac is growing on me a little bit, but they're no ISIS. But you should also check out that band link I just posted. Morne. It's the ex-vocalist of Grief, but they sound more like Neurosis combined with Sleep and The Sword. Moody and atmospheric, but also very riff-driven.

After eight years in Tucson, the heat doesn't bother me. Never really did. I hate cold.

Just started to move some barbells a few weeks ago for the first time in over year since my shoulder surgery. Felt good. Plenty of workouts but no heavy lifting.

 

Number of the Beast and Pieces of Eight are epics and still regular rotation on my virtual juke box. Some of the best live metal shows I’ve seen, and Bruce is ten years older than me and still kicking it. Cheers!
