Hey, one of the kids on our soccer team missed the last game of our tournament for that show. How was it? We won the last game without him to take second place.

It was really good. I’m not a n Ed Sheeran fan. I went because my wife is and no one else wanted to go. I didn’t know any of his songs, but he’s very talented and a charismatic entertainer.

Maybe I'll start a "WBAYDN While Running Errands With A Designated Driver( Your S/O) " Thread. Whoever gets a citation can no longer post.

Haven't had a BBA Stout in a couple weeks and enjoying a Blue Mountain Dark Hollow Imperial Stout.
At an easy 10% it made for a nice Morning /Afternoon sipper

I am down in South Carolina. Picked up a four pack of Westbrook's Adjunct Assault : Cinnamon, Hazelnut, Coffee. Nice depth of flavor, and not too sweet. Very tasty.

Finished off a productive weekend with this wonderful libation from Alma Mader. Brewed in celebration of their fourth year in business it is appropriately named, Four. A blend of imperial stouts aged 18 - 24 months in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels, then conditioned on four types of vanilla: Madagascar, Tahitian, Ugandan and Comoros. Vanilla done well, not pastry level. It presents upfront and layered throughout with a nice chocolate note and some pleasant barrel heat balancing things out. Tastes like corner piece brownies with a whipped vanilla frosting and bourbon drizzle. Another really nice offering from these guys. Cheers!

Thanks for the kind words! This was a fun one to create. The beer wasn't too shabby either :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Black Albert yesterday @brugsbertje in — Brugge. 13% ABV, 100 IBU. Very nice. Highly recommend the beer and the bar. Laying down some base with a Jack’s Precious before trying in a Black Albert variant. If I knew how to post photos I would. Too lazy to learn at the moment.

They have Black Damnation Froggie, Octopussy, Cuvée Delphine, Maestro, and Blackberry Albert. Afraid to risk any of them after the base Black Albert so I’m going back to him. BTW they also have Westvetrelen quadruple in bottles at the moment. Had one last night and it was nice too (not Imp stout so a little bit off topic).

Revisited an old favorite of mine today, old Rasputin mixed with 2 shots of espresso. A truly delightful beverage for running tedious errands around town

Craft Beer Co Covent Garden London. 1/3 pint of Brew York Coffee Bake Polish coffee cake stout. 10%. Thick and syrupy. Nice but very sweet — thank God for the recommendation of 1/3 pint. They will pour all you want but suggest 1/3. Experts!

1/3 of a pint is a trippy amount to pour
    5.3333333333333 oz?

Any pastry stout for me is too much if it's more than 2oz .
    Thank Satan for their recommendation

They're in the UK guvna, so probably 6.4 oz? 1/3 of the good old stovepipe 19.2 oz imperial pint me thinks.

Google said it's 20 oz . Even better , but not for a pastry stout, at 6.66oz!
The US needs to get their shit together .

Perhaps the perfect amount for pastry stouts. A reminder that you're making a deal with the devil (or whatever "science" is blaming for diabetes these days )

Do you do this cuz you want it more bitter than it is or more of a "Poor Mans Speedball" :sunglasses:

The Coffee shop that introduced me to it had it on their menu as "Russian Speedball" and that's definitely how I use it. Used to be my drink of choice for morning classes in college (of course, I dropped out multiple times) and now I like it on a day like yesterday where a hectic early morning had me skipping Coffee and then i found myself facing an afternoon errand list that meant walking around town to wait on 3 different bureaucracies so I could sign some pieces of paper.

Rasputin is just my go to but it does also help the flavor of stouts that are a little too sweet. When I lived in Michigan I used to really like espresso shots added to Tres Blueberry from Dark Horse brewing
