    I'm working from home today, partially to watch the Reds, and wishing I had any of the above. I ran through the Little Kings I bought when I went back home to Cincy in under a week.

    It's crazy to me how easy it is to travel internationally in Europe. It's easy here in the US, too. But our options are basically Canada or Mexico for shorter trips. (and Canada is basically exactly the same as here)

    Correct, though I’ve never been to Mejico.

    The opportunity and chances for someone living in Western Europe are good to great regarding travels and I can complain about plenty of things in my life; not about this.

    You don't want to go to Mexico or certain parts of South America atm. It's dangerous as fuck I'm not playing around. Human trafficking, drug trafficking, pedophilia, human sacrifice, etc. Let your mind wonder and it's happening. I'd love to go to Peru but idk if I have the stones atm. I can't bring my weapons. Texas needs to grow a set and enforce the border how we use to. It's open season atm. Is absolutely ridiculous and out of control. End of our times brother.

    Westvleteren 8. Somewhat less known besides the Blond and of course the 12. I only got this one for a reasonable price since Westvleteren is now on sale in independent Dutch liquor stores for a trial period of a year.

    Tasting notes from the Westvleteren website:
    Dark amber colour. Crowned with an abundant and strong lacing head. The aroma of the Westvleteren 8 is an attractive combination of green nuts, soft fruit and a touch of caramel. The different flavours of this beer lead to a harmonious yet complex taste. One tastes the malts, as it were, up to barley husk. The aftertaste is characterised by a distinct and striking hop bitterness.

    Decided on a stout, but went with my second choice: Imperial Stout Trooper.

    My first choice was a bottle of Expedition Stout I have unintentionally aged for almost six years, and across three moves. For my personal tastes, Expedition Stout - like Narwhal - is a little too roasty and bitter fresh, and smooths out wonderfully with a year or two of age. Unfortunately, this bottle was completely flat and smelled more than a little off.

    I've got two more bottles to revisit (soon!), in hopes that at least one of them has survived still drinkable.

    This IST, at least, is drinking beautifully.
