    It's a classic! I understand the feeling. I remember when Great Divide pulled out of CT; Titan IPA was a personal favorite of mine. I can't even remember the last time I had that beer. I miss it.

    After Sonny Rollins' Freedom Suite, I have to move on to Max Roach's We Insist! Freedom Now Suite. This is one of the best concept albums and protest albums ever IMO. Roach also was the drummer on the Rollins album, and We Insist was a little bit influenced by that, but this goes way beyond. Especially with the Abbey Lincoln songs.

    Picked up the SN Fan Fave pack today. The first one I'm going for is one I really miss- Ruthless Rye. After half a glass I remember why. Is it world class? No. But man I miss rye beers. Another one that comes to mind is Redhook Rye. I was a regular purchaser of these when I could find them.
    This is spicy, toasty (not overly so) nice and hoppy, crisp. Its a super easy drinker and a wonderful change from the ordinary. It's almost lager like in its body and feel with a very slight burnt turbonado sugar. Leaning bitter for sure. Slightly creamy. I mean they need to bring this back. Looking forward to trying the rest of the box.
    This seems very authentic from what I recall. No let down. Celebrating Juneteenth with pizza outdoors.[​IMG] [​IMG]

    ...and so it goes...two Louisiana friends (born and raised there, then moved to Colorado Springs and now are back in Louisiana) have come to stay for, I don't know, 7-10 days...both women and former educators (Mrs. BeerGoot worked with them in a local grade school as a speech-language pathologist)...so, the Reader's Digest version of what I'm trying to say is that I'm surrounded by estrogen for the foreseeable future...thank the gods that be for a 'Fortress of Solitude'...:sunglasses:
