You should have thrown on your super parent cape and saved them, child and parents.

Natural selection at work. Some day we won't even have to ask if kids belong in breweries.

Haha it’s funny you say that. Perhaps a term we literally uttered today.

By no means trying to shit on people’s day today. But the deck gives a different perspective looking down on people below. Parents with kids on the green in front of bright red signs saying please stay of the grass. 2 girls who ran around the premise unattended for over a half hour up and over the bridge, multiple times through the brand new flowers lining the fountain pond, while the parents in the gazebo at 4:30-5:30 or so just watched and waved and never tried to keep their kids from weaving in and out of patrons walking with full pours of beer. Or the woman who stuck her kid in tbe flowers to let her look while she stepped on the flowers to hold her kid. Father’s Day doesn’t give me, or any of you a pass.

    The beer was good though!

Nope! Job was great, but we both agreed this is far superior to the old country club for entertainment. More of an inside joke between us. But also going back a number of years. Interior wise, it’s stunning now. The attention to detail is hard to notice on your first pass.

One brewery, Berkley Beer Co. of Taunton, posted a scathing, all-caps advisory on IG about patrons who bring misbehaving children to the taproom. Worth a quick read:

I’m dying on this hill, Tree House should buy Zorba’s, make it an IKEA kids play land/prison while mommy and daddy blow the college fund on hazies and merch.

I have this picture in my head of the Zorbas owner still in the building everyday cursing each car that enters treehouse. Coming out swinging with the pizza paddle at any car who tries to turn around. And he turns down any and all offers to buy Zorbas while moving in a back and forth rocking motion repeating, “Business is going to turn around today, you just watch” like Eddie Kasparacks pharmacist in the TV Movie version of IT

Kids in breweries debate getting stretched so thin they aren't even allowed in what is still basically a country club

    Kids at a golf country club…. :joy::joy::joy:

Tell that to the good ol boys. They’d ban their wives if they could. So many horrible memories working around golf as a teen

You've already said it was an event space. Are you against kids at weddings too? Come on haha. Wouldn't be surprised if they had family golf sessions too.

You seem to be reading this different than I am, although I do agree that there are just too damn many kids at breweries these days but all I am really looking for, and it seems Jbrews was in line with, is parents actually parenting their kids at breweries. It's not a place to let kids run around and say "they're just kids!". That space is a playground.

It sounds good. It also might seem to establish the standard barrel aging time Tree House uses:

I’m doubtful that they have a “standard” aging time

Could just be a time window of when they think moving to another barrel is a good idea.

Went to Tewksbury yesterday. The renovations are pretty awesome and they handled the crowd super well, never waited more than 2 minutes for a beer and there are so many different spaces it was easy to feel like you weren’t on top of people. The can delivery elevator wasn’t working yet, but it’s going to be so cool. Once they have food it’s going to be perfect.

Had Trail Motueka while there. Had been holding off on trying any of the hoppy pilsners because I figured I’d just prefer either a regular lager or pale ale but damn, was way off. Beer was great. No chance my taste memory is right here but it kind of reminded me of when JA first came out with Kiwi Rising. Can’t wait to try the trail riwaka.

Flying into Boston late Thursday evening and heading up the coast for a week and hoping to do a pickup at Tewksbury on my way Friday at 10am.

    Fairly easy process?
