Yes, I use the pointy end of my meat thermometer to start a flap, the guys on tv always seem to get it off in 1 piece. I’m lucky to get it off at all.

This is a great concert to check out Larry Carlton. His son is playing bass. Larry played on a lot of Steely Dan tracks like Josie and Kid Charlemagne, and I believe Don't Take Me Alive.

Anyways, this concert is great and worth listening to with a couple of good beers. I actually bought this DVD.

 

Oh yeah, @beergoot and I have had discussions on bass players and drummers. Similarly, this can go on for a while ha. Love Joe Pass, also George Benson, Jim Hall, Django Reinhardt, Charlie Christian, Wes Montgomery...oh I can get into Spanish guitar players with Joaquin Rodrigo and Narciso Yepes.

 

Yeah, Scofield is great and I completely forgot about Lee Ritenour. Love the list

 

What works best for me is either a butter knife or spoon handle. I try to get an opening where I can stick my finger in and kind of peel it off. I've gotten pretty good at it, although I've had some racks where I swear it was glued on with Gorilla glue

Rye barrel aged ink. Gonna be honest, as it warms I get soy sauce. It's a 2022 so it's not very old. Not sure what's going on. It was pretty flat as well, wonder if it was a bad seal.

Robbie is great and a truly unique player, nobody else sounds like Robbie, you can pick him out in a minute.

 

Safe and sound at the hotel, settling in with a local IPA sold in the hotel - Columbia Craft Brewing Co.’s “Famously Hop”:



The brewery’s flagship. Columbus, Simcoe, Amarillo and Citra hops. To be fair, the beer can is dated 3/16/23 and I’m getting mostly dull earthy hops with some citrus. I’d drink it again, especially if fresher. Cheers from West Columbia, SC!

I grew up listening to D-Beat punk (discharge, anti cimex, varukers, m.g15 and such) so who cares about old men still tryina play music.

Great to see this back for the summer. Wiseacre- Parti-Colour - Italian Pilsner. - Dang- It really hits the spot. Hallertau Blanc Hops- yum! Yes, they are a bit wine like. I learn more every day.
