The return of Cuvee de Grace, DB VSOD, and Cafe Deth of course. :grimacing:

Interested to see how Dread & Breakfast compares to Cafe Deth. I'm all in on coffee variants. Will buy multiple packs of both. Think I went through 4-5 packs of Cafe last year...And in VERY short order.

NON DEEP WOOD POST, PLEASE IGNORE

Chicago folks/visitors: Unity Porter is phenomenal. Story goes the brewmaster & his wife brewed it back in 2013; it's back for their anniversary I guess! (Info from the web so who knows)

Available on draft at the Taproom and brewpub. Redolent of roasted coffee beans, dark chocolate and hints of vanilla & autumn leaves. It's also a surprising 10% which should help explain this flowery post.

I don’t recall it, but gave it a high review, especially on the velvety smooth mouthfeel. Looking forward to trying it again!

    Non regular rotation: VSOR Select.
Rotation: Straight Jacket usually, although last year's Ryeway to Heaven caused me to buy at least ten 4packs. It was excellent.

The pic they released on social media today says aged in Binny’s store pick barrels.

I decided to drop the season ticket, as VSOR Select was the only one I’d be legit bummed to miss out on - and if it comes to that so be it - and feel like VSOR AND DB Death are the only ones that have any possibility of selling out.

Paying $300+ for 32 cans of high abv beer that will be readily available just wasn’t worth it for me.

May have missed the convo on this, but hope y'all not sleeping on VSO Gravedigger. Hot damn that beer is phenomenal!

Rev and Firestone Walker collaborating on a barleywine? I guess that'll work.

The only beer that rev makes that i like is GDB so this one did catch my attention. Almost considered using Tavour for it

Probably a naive and stupid question - anybody seen any VSOJ or DBVSOJ sitting around anywhere? I know that I've randomly bumped into some crazy stuff in crazy places so anything is possible.

I have some free time coming up over the holiday week where I'll actually be able to chase down a beer or two. Been crazy busy with small kids and missed out on some of this good stuff.

Neither beer saw any public distribution at all; both brewery only releases that instantly sold out.

Black market only at this point.

Your best bet beyond trading is to find these on draft down the road at Revolution's taproom/brewpub or perhaps at The Beer Temple, Beer on the Wall, Hop Leaf or other craft beer bar.

Revolution tapped Ten Year Beer at the brewpub this week (still on) which IMO is in league of the two you are seeking. Not a barleywine, but 2019 Boss Ryeway is on at Beer on the Wall Park Ridge.

Also, 2023-2024 Season tickets are still available, will lock in every future release this year and beyond with renewal.

Love the convenience of picking up the beer before or after the public release, and also not having to wake up / worry about logging in for each release. I also enjoyed getting one of each, including a couple I may have passed on without the season ticket.

I know this is not the beer you asked about but, VSO Gravedigger is on shelves in Chicagoland and burbs. It's a better beer than VSOJ (for my personal taste) & it's worth looking into if you want a "VSO" brand packaged product from Revolution. It honestly surprised me how incredible the VSO Gravedigger turned out.

I did get into VSO Gravedigger and it was amazing! One of the reasons I started poking about to see what else I missed from Revolution's recent good stuff and stumbled on VSOJs
