What beer are you drinking now? #3908

Sure is nice to have a few days off. So that last Kolsch just sailed thru my house. Next at bat is another Ursa Minor Snacktime Lager. 2nd one of these and this time instead of using a tall Lager glass I'm rolling with a nucleated shaker pint. Oooo. Such a chancer. But I'm hopeful it will give this brew a bit more attenuation, life, and a mild improvement in feel. It's kinda like "we're secretly replacing the fine coffee that's normally served at Tavern On The Green with Maxwell House coffee...let's listen in...."

Back in the early 60s my Granddad would blend Bud, tomato juice, Worchester Sauce, Tabasco, white pepper and salt It was good even to a 10 year old. It was his salute to the new Morning......

I had a 14 year old female tarantula about hand sized that watched me drink every day. Been meaning to get another 1 or 2..

 

I know most people probably think of these Ray Charles albums as a bit of their times, but man I love them. I think these were my Dad's original copies that we always played, Modern Sounds in Country and Western

Equal Parts Loggerbier...two times. This is always excellent, and one of the better local lagers around me.

 

Their 4.2% Dadpils corn lager is also delicious. I like loggerbier to. I just got a fresher pack of SA Summer Pils to. I dig Equal Parts when I find fresh stock. Good buy for the price to.

 

Perhaps. Tomato Juice handles the carbonation well. It's a slow drinking thing mostly.........

They do a lot of really good lagers. I don't think I have seen the Dadpils around, might have to make a trip out to the brewery to get it. I love their taproom, its just not convenient for me, its not a crazy distance, only like 5 miles or so. Though I live in the Heights, and have to cross this thing called downtown Houston, and that is always a pain ha. On a lazy Sunday, I will sometimes make it a trip there, and find a cool place to eat around there as well.

 

Congrats! In these times that is an admirable accomplishment.

I did the math and decided I would not say the year my wife and I first dated. Here is a clue though—what is half a century?

The Allman brothers (my FL home boys) formed in Jacksonville FL in 1969, in 1970 they played the Fillmore East in NY, NY. They had to be thinking "how the F did we get here in a year".....I'm so glad they did and went on to produce fantastic music.
