What beer are you drinking now? #3912

Continuing my Hungarian beer adventure, I have learned that fruit beers are really popular here -- not just cherry, but stuff like mango as well. This is Monyo's Mango Hero, which I didn't enjoy quite as much as the cherry, but is still not bad if you're into mango.

Off to a cool (70F/21C) morning with misty rain falling - hard on the garden with all the rain - lots of leaves but little fruiting. Even the zucchini isn't producing much fruit.

Today's New Breakfast Beer:



Fatter Gary Rye Barrel Aged - the original BBA Fatter Gary was retired years ago but has arisen, thanks to the power of rye barrels! Still, it seems a shame to waste rye barrels on brown ales when there are stouts and barleywines without a home. Rating 3.85, rDev 0% (first review)

Bottled 1/30/23. Poured at 52°. Bitter roast coffee still vibrant at 6 months old. I need to pick up more on my next beer run, maybe next week.

I’m back on lawn duty today, with another go at the sprinkler system later this afternoon…but it’s too darn hot, so I’ll pop into the pub first for a pint or two of liquid motivation. See y’all later, and have a fantastic Friday!

 

It’s already a hot one here, so I’m loading up the party cup with SN Summerfest and getting my walk in, should be about 4.5 miles

Happy Friday BA's! Four hours of overtime complete and just enjoyed the finish of the TDF stage 7.This Ghost in the Machine at 4 weeks in the can is tasting great! Man, Cavendish was so close to setting a TDF stage win record with 35.
