On my FWIBF journeys I've had the pleasure of a couple new to me pilsners that need to be highlighted in this thread. Both Liquid Gravity's Crispy Life and Topa Topa's Sespe are quite delicious for my palate and preferences.

Trumer doesn't get enough love. It's really a great pilsner. The brewery tour is cool too, the place is immaculate.

Had a very nice Vienna lager from Original Pattern last night, called That Night in Vienna. Not a style I normally seek out, as most American brewed versions seem to be pretty dull. But this was spot on. Dry, with fresh brown bread flavors, very European.

Original Pattern sort of lives in Ghost Town's shadow these days but they make some great beers.

I can vouch for the Original Pattern Vienna. It's a well crafted beer and true to the style. When I picked it up I paired it with a Maibock from Discretion Brewery (Santa Cruz). /chefskiss

I like to reward local breweries which make quality non-IPA offerings. We need more.

We were getting cans from them a couple of years ago and I was really enjoying their offerings. Unfortunately they disappeared from our shelves. Glad to hear they're still going strong. Part of the east bay brewery ascension for sure. Original Pattern, Ghost Town, Wondrous, SARA outpost, Cellarmaker, Almanac, Faction, Admiral Malting. The east bay is becoming a seriously top quality beer metro these days. I gotta ditch the kids and get down there for a weekend of revelry

…or bring the kids! I think most if not all of the East Bay spots are (refreshingly) family-friendly to one degree or another.

Long Beach Beer Labs is hosting a Clean and Crispy Fest tomorrow afternoon. Pretty good showing of breweries: Green Cheek, Enegren, Everywhere, Highland Park, and more.

Should be a pretty chill non hype fest. I’ll be there!

Here's on of the "Summer Lagers" series from Smog City Brewing called "Golden Blume." Distinctly sweet but well-kissed with hops; notes of resins and that elusive Euro taste. Actually quite a flavorful Pilsner that makes for a good gulp while giving you something to chew on.

Having a Scrimshaw for the first time in a long time. Forgot how solid this beer is. Or maybe anything tastes good on a hot day like today

I love this beer! It's been a couple of years since I've seen it, had no idea they made it again. Thanks so much for your post! Looks like I'll be placing an order in a few minutes. :+1:
