They were selling cans. I bought two 4-packs. They also have a great selection of ciders. When I went, they had two pale ales on draft and then were selling a different pale ale in cans. They were all called Woodstock Pale Ale but with different hops. In order to go, you just need to make an online purchase beforehand which reserves you a spot to go that day. It asks for a specific time of arrival but I don't think that matters as they didn't ask for my timeslot when I got there.

Not a bad weekday price for the golfing @ $30 (+ $14 per for a cart).

So, what’s the food situation in Tewksbury? Since there aren’t usually food trucks on weekdays, are they cool with outside food? Any word on when pizza service is gonna start?

No food yet. No word on when pizza might start, but they've got a neon pizza sign that is always lit up. Outside food is completely OK. If coming at lunch time, I'd highly recommend La Vita Dolce across the street for Italian sandwiches, salads, pizza, etc. Everything I've had there is unbelievably good.

If you're coming from 93, you'll pass a place right after you get off the highway called Pizza Bar. That's my go to later on in the day if La Vita is closed. Cheers!

$44 for 18 with cart?? Wow, that's insanely cheap. How's the course?

But I guess you'd also spend most of your money on beer, which is probably their intent!

EDIT: wait, never mind- I just went on their site and it appears it's a 9 hole course. Still a good price.

I’d like to see the return of the “ish” line-up. The mini versions of Julius, Green, and Sap. They seem to have moved away from them in recent months.

Yeah, I noticed that too after I posted. Again, still a solid price. I think I should write an article that forces me to drink based on my score: anything under par, lager; par, pale ale; bogey, IPA; double bogey, double IPA ... and then see how life goes. I'll have to uber there. lol.

I think getting an Uber for the ride home would be more important unless you're a particularly bad golfer and will instead need an ambulance.

On a weekend the 18 oz cups are definitely a little taller then the 16’s. I’ve only ever gone on plastic cup days so can’t speak to the glassware. Starting out with a hefty 18oz green while I put peruse the landscape is always a fine way to start if you ask me. That being said, them beers taste Fricking good outta plastic. Wouldn’t be a detractor for me at all.

I would not call it a good price, it's more expensive than 90% of the courses that I every play in CT/RI. The only ones more expensive are the casino courses... typically 9 holes is like $30-$35.

Unless Mass courses are greatly inflated and I am a NE bumkin... both are probable.

I would imagine the 18oz offerings will be in plastic no matter what day

That’s great. It’s nice to see that they will be flexible, despite what they wrote in the fine print.

For giggles, I just looked up the rates for our local public course (Simsbury Farms). Weekday 9 holes is $24 plus $13 for a cart. $37 vs $44 Some may look at that as, holy crap that's almost 20% higher at Tewks! Some may look at that as, it's 7 bucks, whatever. I guess I fall in the later camp. The bigger question is what's the experience like? Condition of course, pace of play, etc. The beer selection is certainly better at the TH course!

During the summers they may go with plastic th-su but they still absolutely pour 18oz hazies in glass, and 20oz lagers in glass
