I bet Trey wishes he never went near Whitehall.

Hop Notch - Montour Falls, NY
(near Watkins Glen at the south end of Seneca Lake)

While they are brewing now, they are still perfecting recipes and have no definitive date to start selling their own beer. This said, they are open as a rural bar with food, and have a good list of rotating “local” beer, wine, and spirits.

The space is huge, open, and not overly decorated, with two floors and outdoor seating. This location was formerly “Heavily Brewing”.

They're doing it wrong. In college, the thing was Rummy Worms. Pro-tip: don't use 151 Rum

I think that’s just a drawing of a gummy worm. It’s the taco cowboy hat that caught my attention. HA!

Haha, I thought that was a piece of wheat bread in a taco shell.

Does anyone have more details on NYCC - New York Craft Coalition. I know it’s a project by Marlowe and Barclay Brewing. Kind of like a joint tap room it seems like. I’m somewhat unclear but it looks like they’re setting up in Mamaroneck. Is it next to half-time beverage store? I don’t know exactly what’s going h on but it looks exciting and would love more detritus if anyone has them.

That’s a Texas-size 10-4. Taking over what was Decadent’s spot adjoining to Halftime. No details on opening date or anything but that’s the situation.

My buddy that works at Half Time says it will be in roughly 1 month. The food menu will be towards the higher end with a seasonal rotating menu.

This gives me a handful of chances to visit over the next year before my kid graduates from SUNY Purchase. Not that it's all about me...

Did Decadent fall apart or just move? Never really was into their stuff so I’m not sure if they’ve been around and I just don’t notice, or if they disappeared altogether.

Arts, dance, theatre? I just love that campus and did a small project there many years ago. The exterior elevator on the south side of the Performing Arts Center. And a larger utilitarian project too. Barns was the Master Architect, and they had several black cape architects for various buildings.

The College has a decent article about the campus, see below if this interests you.

Photo. It’s been a great place for her. She could have been a small fish in a bigger pond at RIT, but she’s had so many great opportunities with things the other way around.

Totally agree. RIT, as great a school as it is, would have been a dramatically different experience. IMO, Purchase has a tighter focus and she is completely immersed in the arts there. Plus it’s proximity to NYC and that breadth of experience and talent can’t be matched. I would love to see some of her work if you/she is open to sharing.

No way, I didn't hear anything about Decadent :astonished: I only stopped in there once and had a few cans over the years but that's too bad

Looks like a soft opening today on the Marlowe/Barclay space. If you’re in that area and have never had Marlowe on draft please go and treat yourself.

Not sure if this has been posted in here or not but a place called The Druery is supposed to open in Lawrence, NJ and a place called Bent Iron is supposed to open in Hamilton, NJ, both by the end of the year.
