Dark Lord (regular; not BA) french pressed with toasted coconut is one of the best beers i’ve ever had. it’s just about the only way i drink DL anymore to be honest.

 

Not often enough….

 

I was all excited that RBBT was still available because I'll be visiting in less than 3 weeks and I was getting ready to place my order when I realized that pickups are only at the brewery which isn't open on Tues/Wed when I'll be in town. So close but yet so far...

So, one other tiny reason it's not selling out faster.

 

You could try emailing them about it. They have all the non-rbbt package bottles available to go at the cellar still.

 

You could also put a proxy request out there - someone that lives close might be willing to help you out for a pour at the cellar or something.

 

BBT ‘23 blending session today.

 

I've heard the bartenders at the brewery explain the difference to first-time visitors on so many occasions that it may be worth it for that reason alone.

Let's be honest, they were always both de facto the same thing to most of us, SP just didn't want to sully its name in case the Shared crew fucked something up. Luckily that never became an issue

 

i don’t think that was the issue (assuming you know that too from your jokey face). i think it was more that SP was advertised as a 100% barrel-aged brewery and most of the early shared beers didn’t fit that bill (still to this day, 99% of them don’t).

those who know knew they were always the same brewery but i can also see where it would cause some confusion.

 

Immediate thoughts were - guess I have to get ready for Ambiente packages....and that Shared Willi Becher I bought is going to be a collector's item!
