No, it's on their site. Okto, Jack-Off, Hoppy Lager which sounds like German pils, and Flannel Fest - a "Munich dunkel".

Oh wonder if the Festbier is gone then. If it only lasted 2 years then typical Sam Adams.

Looks like it, and I think around here it was just this one time.

Festbier was really good. I’ll try this though. The fall variety is usually a winner

Wondering if SE VA will see the Lone Pine Pumpkin (we get IPAs) or the Evil Genius Octo (we see IPAs and PB stout and pumpkin)

And damn you Fat Heads for not distributing to this fine state

Yeah, that is a shame. A few days ago I purchased a six-pack of Head Hunter; I always buy this beer when I see that it is fresh.

    Cheers!

Does anyone know if this is a US-only beer? I’m not seeing it in Germany yet. Sounds absurd, I know, but the label is in English and it isn’t listed on their website, so it has me thinking…

I think it's been mentioned before that it's an export-only, but maybe available at the brewery?

Look for the Kirtabier -- may be a reasonable substitute.

I dont see the rationale in getting rid of the Festbier because its such a classic style that will always sell that you cant go wrong with. The only rationale is thats what Sam Adams does. They dont keep anything around for too long but they keep Cherry Wheat around for years and years. That one is obviously a troll from them. You cant convince me otherwise.

    Better than their Okto.

Obviously that role is served by Jack-O, the punkin' beer.

The same place got a bunch more Oktos in the last two days including the SN one, which is not showing up in the beer finder yet. But the ones from today were not in the system yet, so I had to leave without them. I did get Toppling Goliath (boring) and Founders (surprisingly nice) yesterday.

Right, I figured as much reading the description on their website. Thanks for the insight! :beers:

Agree. Would love to hear the reason the Festbier is not coming back. It was an outstanding beer.

Just got back from a run to my local Total Wine and the fall beers are now starting to hit the shelves:

Oktoberfest märzens and festbiers that I remember seeing:
Schell's, Summit, Excelsior Brewing, Toppling Goliath, Destihl, Revolution, Half Acre, Three Floyds, Central Waters, Sam Adams, Sierra Nevada, Hofbräuhaus, and Spaten Ur-Märzen (that is a year-rounder here though)

Pumpkin: Elysian Night Owl Six packs and the Elysian Pumpkin Variety Pack, Sam Adams

I honestly don't get the love for that Festbier. Sure, it is a little better than their Octoberfest, but that isn't tough. Maybe a lot of you guys don't have access to good, local Festbiers? We have quite a few in MN that put Sam Adams to shame.

I am tempted to get the variety pack because of the Hoppy Lager and Dunkel, but I don't want the Octoberfest and that really crappy pumpkin ale. Also, I am sure the two new ones will be pedestrian, as usual.
