    For some crazy ass reason those two and Life Jacket hit Tavour, obviously selling out instantly. Friend found out after the fact.

    I did see VSOGB at my Binny’s last week surprisingly, and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t originally supposed to hit distro. So there’s a chance if they stick around long enough, though the yields might even lower on the new releases.

    Life jacket went up twice just an fyi.
    I got dread, but given Temps here, the fact the last leg delivery uses sedans with people storing in trunks and I'm not home readily to sign I didn't bother with a "delicate beer" like the cuvee. Hoping to try in Sept though when I close the box...hopefully with better Temps. I have to assume they have a multiple year deal with Tavour. VSO gravedigger was there a while back too and Ryeway 2021 keeps popping up. What I would've rather is 2022 Ryeway, unless it's been in a fridge the whole time, which is certainly not the case I'm sure. Honestly other than Firestone brewery exclusives, Fremont, and Rev. I don't bother with Tavour but I guess the model works for these places to move BA bottles that used to sell out fast. But I have zero idea how they allocate. DBVSOJ but no Ryeway last year is a odd thing to me.

    Hate the signing situation. I stopped using Tavour the first time they left Ohio.

    Thank you! Looks like I’ll have to find some time to hit the Taproom.

    Actually no, it kind of makes sense. Honestly not sure- succinctly- how I'd describe a beer with a tight temperature window, and I'm less sure how it'll do after transport in 80 degree weather if the flavor profile is more sensitive. Cafe Deth? Shave a little coffee off I'll be disappointed but it'll still be good if the weather doesn't cool down enough. I'd probably buy the cuvee if I lived within reasonable driving distance actually from the descriptions here.

    Echoing what others have already said but had my first can of Dread & Breakfast and Rev nailed this 'BA 'breakfast' stout imo. Blows my mind that only coffee was added. I'm just relieved the crazy alchemist, Marty, is using his powers for good.

    Life Jacket is still on Tavour (at least showing for me). I passed on that one; actually in Chicago visiting family and might make it over to the brewery or taproom to try it.

    FYI, Tavour shipping to me in Philly is by UPS and has been for at least a year.

    Fellow Super Zero fans, it’s now stocked to go at the pub. Maybe the taproom too?

    @BeerCruncher, any plans for another run of West Coast Hero? The pub and taproom seem to be out and I could really use another case or two before the summer ends

    Made it to brewpub yesterday. Life Jacket was okay. Mostly coconut; didn’t get much of the other fruit. Cuvée de Grace was very good. Unfortunately dread and breakfast was no longer on tap there.

    @BeerCruncher Are Deth's Tar stovepipe cans coming back this year?

    I believe the correct term for a stovepipe is a half Fawkes.

    I think we need a formula to convert abv & serving size to “Fawkes Units.” This would make comparisons so much easier. Hmmm, how many FUs of beer should I have tonight?

    0.2 FUs - still ok to drive
    0.5 FUs - take the bus/train
    1.0 FUs - hope you’re not working tomorrow
    2.0 FUs - start interviewing yourself

    I would propose that 1.0 FU is a 32oz Deep Wood crowler which @GuyFawkes has interviewed himself after. 2.0 would be A LOT.

    .2 = couple two tree beers

    .4 = 2 Deep Wood 12 oz cans

    1.0 = crowler of "regular" beer + a 12oz Deep Wood can

    2.0 = crowler of Deep Wood beer + ????

    Lucked into a couple of really cool beers at Great Taste of Midwest on Saturday. They published a pretty pedestrian (aside from DBVSOJ) list of beer they were bringing but shocked the world by silently bringing a bunch of taproom only beers (I believe) and secretly putting them on.

    I ended up missing Rum VSOJ & DBVSOJ but my consolation prize was Apple Brandy VSOR and Sanctuary #25 - DBXO Deth Jacket. Might have been a couple others that went on that I wasn't by to see but that ABVSOR was insanely good!

    Had the last of the DW releases, Life Jacket. Was not too optimistic going in as I'm generally not a fan of beers with fruit added. This one seems to be a bit divisive as well. Surprisingly, I quite enjoyed this. For me, it was reminiscent of Swedish Glögg in some respects (well, without the cardamom). I think letting it reach room temperature helped me appreciate it as well. Yeah, I do not wish to see this as an annual release necessarily but I thought Rev did a nice job with it. Looking forward to Round 2.
