Enjoying the mostly dead tasting room on a Monday at Tewksbury. Had Tornado, and now sipping on some Very Hazy. Have had Haze before, but this is outstanding! [IMG]

Plastic cups piss me off. If they can afford to buy a golf course, they can afford to buy a fucking dishwasher.

Taste the same, man. I still don’t get dying on this hill. Seems pretty GTO to me:

    -Don’t have to wash them
    -people don’t steal them
-drunk people won’t knock them over/drop them to cause shattered glass all over the place
-can get all the specific sizes they serve

I agree. There’s no excuse for serving your beers out of plastic cups on a quiet Monday afternoon. Drinking from glass at treehouse elevates the experience imo.

I'm with you, no issue at all with plastic cups. As a bonus I brought the branded ones home to use poolside...

This especially. And it doesn't even have to be drunk people, though that raises the possibility. Look at the first pic and the people sitting in the chairs. Put a glass of beer on the arm of the chair, how many would be inadvertently knocked over in a day with shattered glass everywhere?

I’ll se the line at 1.5 and bet the over heavily. Especially on a weekend with over 5,000 guests in a day

Is anybody interested in two free tickets to the Julian Lage show in the Treehouse Deerfield auditorium on Wednesday September 13th? They're not great seats, but free is free and the auditorium is tiny. Should be a great show.

Let me know, I would need to reach out to Treehouse and ask them to transfer them over.

Mark Johnson obviously grabbed some 11th anniversary, tasted the Data Set yeast and ghosted the Treehouse prize.

Congratulations Scott’s, for once anonymity pays off! Epic contest results for 3

Aaron Goldfarb scored a rare interview with Nate for VinePair in a piece that went live yesterday (Monday?). Either way, it's about the course. Aaron's a good reporter, clear writer, and his stories are always done well.

It's cheaper than Trillium Fort Point Pale Ale, which is at $19.20

The price dropped to 17:20 from 21:20, which is more inline with their regular pale ales, albeit a tad more expensive.

I imagine the hops in this one are more expensive than other pales too.

I think Covid killed my taste for Galaxy. That or its flavor profile has changed in the newer harvests. That woody/grainy flavor I was complaining about has been absent in recent beers: Doubleganger, Julius, Haze, Golden Fern. I’m drinking Summer right now and it’s VERY strong in it.

So, to give a little guidance, you would want definitely avoid anything in the Julius spectrum but also in general the list below. Your issue is that you do not like pale ales that use a more traditional malt bill. The list, not conclusive but a start for you.

Any curiosity series, as you never know what malt bill they’ll use.

Seeing Watchhouse tomorrow night in Charlton. It’s been awhile since I’ve been to the brewery there. Anyone seen a show at The Pavilion? Doors open at 7:00 for the 8:00 show. Can we get good seats then grab beers? Have no idea what to expect.

Staying at the Hampton Inn in Sturbridge and then grabbing an Uber from there.

    Thanks.

After a week of rain on our vacation around NH/Seacoast/Maine the trip to Charlton midday on Friday to arrive and find sun was glorious. Also finding 0 lines on a Friday around 3ish was nuts. Anyone else there at the time for the wild storm that whipped through then whipped right out? Wild weather day Friday. Anniversary cold brew and mocha latte are insane good. As well as the stout. Being able to just walk up to the bar and order each time was fantastic. Especially when I had a birthday DD.

On another non TH note. Made the stop at Armsby. First pour was a Hill Farmsted Double Citra. We both tasted it and had to send it back. The bar tender was awesome(as usual there) and said no worries and we were far from the first to say it’s off. It was crystal clear and almost resembled a wild ale more in appearance/color. Taste was almost an old taste with some citra over it. Given how quick they run through HF kegs there’s no way it’s old. Something was mentioned he may be filtering more beers now? Anyone else come across an odd HF pour? First time I’ve questioned one.
