Where did you see this?! This is probably my all time favorite beer and would love to able to try this again.

 

I heard rumors it would be in late September, but that it got pushed till November, wondering if those were wrong.

 

Damn. I’m excited.

Is this going to still be called SR71? I thought I remembered somewhere that Lockheed Martin sent legal documentation requesting that TG cease using this name for the beer. Not sure how serious those posts were or not.

 

that email is 100% making me think it’s at that Oktoberfest deal… just sayin..

 

Was so engrossed by the Sue Mix pack, completely breezed over that part when I read it yesterday. Seems like you might be right, but I wouldn't be surprised if its a Assassin Variant or Shadow Raptor.

 

No one’s talking about the SR-71 predecessor super barrel blend being released tomorrow yet? You guys are slacking.

i brought it up a while back but it was speculation at that point. wish i could make it.

 

Limit is 1 bottle per person. I don’t know about price, but the answer is expensive. At least $100, probably more.

 

My brother grabbed his and my wife's a little bit ago, $100 a bottle $20 for a pour, 4oz I think. He's saying its damn good.

 

I know these days are long behind us… but SR-71 b1 was $25 a bottle and surprisingly 2 pp. Just thought the price comparison is crazy. I think it was released 2015 or right around there but that’s a 300% increase!

 

it’s been released again since then. 2018 maybe? betting that bottle was more than $25

 

If I remember correctly when we drove down to get our first KBBS it was $25 I think. Must of been 2012-2013ish

 

I had to look it up, but SR-71 B2 was $100 a bottle and released summer 2018. I think this was around the time KBBS jumped to $100 and SR-71 followed suit. At least Aurora looks like a 22 oz bottle in picture. I understand if people keep buying it and it sells out that it is arguably priced correctly, but I still feel like this is price gouging. Just one beer nerds opinion.

 

After the cease and desist from Lockheed there will never be another SR-71. This is now Clark poking the bear with Aurora. A plane whose existence is not even acknowledged by Lockheed and thus seeing what they will do.
