What's in the beer fridge for KT bottles at the moment? Especially interested in a bottle of Thoughts without a thinker...

The fact you can't just look on their site and see this info anymore shows how much HA has given up. Their beer is still phenomenal, but everything else has fallen off a cliff with them. Seems like the only OGs in Chicagoland who try to keep customers happy anymore are Goose and Rev.

Drives me nuts how their tap list is often very out of date

For example, the current version they have on their website now is from 8/9

I’m surprised there’s not been more discussion of Midnight Choir. It’s kind of insane what they’ve done with this beer.

Loads of barrel presence and a truly beautiful mouthfeel from the nitro. Really subtle notes of chocolate and vanilla underly the beer, but you can’t write off how exceptional the nitro makes the mouthfeel pop.

I’d love to see HA do something else with this same approach.

I can't be the only person here on Beer Advocate who noticed that Half Acre was not pouring at the Oak Park Micro Brew Review. :astonished:

Just a hunch, but my guess is most beer advocates on here don’t attend these kinds of beer fests. At least not anymore

    OZNR, you hate it.

Yeah. I got a little hopeful as nothing said OZNR…would have tried for it had it not been Oznr.

I don’t understand why you protest OZNR to the degree that you miss out on releases you want. I have never had an issue. I hate their fees, but for the small amount of beer I buy from it (really just HA), it’s fine.

Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little beer, deserve neither Liberty nor beer.

$1.46/oz before the inescapable taxes and fees. Ugh. They know it’s amazing and have priced it accordingly

Unfortunately, amazing doesn't sell beers. They have to be priced accordingly; hence why Benthic is sitting around collecting dust at Binnys.

Rarity and Hype (from what I understand, as I did not get to try the first iteration, this is deserved) will play cleanup, fear not.

To be honest, I feel like the Benthic pricing "issue" (if you want to call it that) is more that they chose to sell in 4-packs than that the price was too high. It was what, $55 or something at Binny's? You sell a 2-pack for $28/30 and it's probably selling much quicker. I know I personally balked at those 4-packs because I wasn't sure I need 4 cans of Benthic, and definitely didn't feel like dropping $60 after tax.

The $200 Benthic box sold out almost instantly last year. Let's not pretend that 2022 Benthic wasn't a successful release.

I fall into this boat. I like the beer and sometimes I'll go to Binnys and just be looking for a BA stout but whenever I see it I never want to buy 4.
