Had to get that last one out of my mouth. I mean, trying new things is all well and good, but sometimes you just gotta have a really good imperial stout that makes no pretense of being anything else.
    Cheers all!

The bar I was at tonight had 2017 Founders CBS on draft.

I have 2018 and 2019 but no 2017. It was still pretty darn hard to find, even in West Michigan. Wonder where that barrel has been. Was it good?

First steps of turning part of the new basement into a workout area. Beer might not be the best start for getting back in shape :grimacing:

I have it on good authority that a nice rich stout is the perfect refresher after a hard workout.

I’m very experienced in this haha. If you knew the engineering it took to get this 300lb treadmill into the basement, you would understand why I need to keep using it! Just so much going on and I finally got it back together last week, but still haven’t had a chance to use it. Then, of course, my back went out yesterday (lol old) so I couldn’t even get a run in today. Tomorrow I’m hoping will be my first workout in the new house. Next steps are hopefully putting up walls, workout flooring, and then the equipment. I haven’t done any serious lifting since covid shut down our gym. Only running

Previous bottle was much better. Not sure what happened here. Maybe I poured too much of the sludge at the bottom in. Hope the other 2 are world class like the first!

It’s quite fantastic! The original Alesmith, “Speedway Stout “ is world class! This is, too, with some adjuncts!
