Off Color Apex Predator (6.5%): A Saison from Chicago with flavors of juicyfruit, lemon citrus, pineapple, pear, with a white grape and light funk. Crisp and clean.

Figured I'd stick with with the Chicago beer trend today for another banger. A fantastic Saison with juicyfruit and citrus flavors. Light floral and complex fruity esters. In fact, this is probably my highest rated beer on BeerAdvocate. Paulaner, Andechs, Hop Butcher, and Off Color. This unintentionally may be the most outstanding beer lineup I've ever posted. I'm going to enjoy these beers along with some NFL football. Cheers fellow advocates!

Happy Sunday afternoon and a shoutout to @Shanex for “ kicking it off “(pun intended)! Enjoying my last Great Lakes, “Oktoberfest “! Watching the Eagles take on the Jets at the Meadowlands!

 

Sticking with my hometown brewery, Autodidact. Dark Horse, Black IPA, was the first beer I drank when the brewery opened in March. They canned it this week. It's very good; close to Carton Epitome good! Lots of bakers chocolate, tobacco, pine, and hoppy bitterness. I could easily drink this year round.

 

Sipping this one and enjoying. Low beer alert, I am uneasy with what it going on the fridge.

 

I have to make dinner soon but having a Stone IPA beforehand ..

 

It is finally, actually stout weather here ha.

Saint Arnold Irish Dry Stout is excellent.

I had planned on stopping at Back Shed for their Octoberfest last Thursday on my way to Little Falls, but I spent too much time at Yoerg in St Paul & had to get back for mother in law's meatloaf dinner!
