What beer are you drinking now? #4013

Steel Toe Märzen (5.8%): An Oktoberfest Märzen from Minnesota with flavors of bread malts, caramel malt, light toasted notes.

Another Oktoberfest Märzen. This one from Steel Toe who has made some good lagers that I've tried. Pours beautifully. Otherwise pretty good for a Märzen. Nothing too wild.

 

I have not had this beer in a long time. It used to be my favorite brown ale.

I gotta say, I'm over any fascination I had with that beer. You can't find it in Central MA anywhere, and this perceived rarity is created by the fact that they don't distro to Central MA for whatever reason. I'm just as happy drinking Second Fiddle so I will stick with beers I can find and enjoy.

 

You are right about buying singles. The dates are usually old.

 

Happy Monday ba. All night, session bipa, founders. Single can and my first go at it but pretty good stuff. Well balanced and not overly light. Not sure if it temps me to buy, a whole mixed pack, but I would definitely buy this on its own.

This Trillium Brewing Nelson Sauvin DIPA Cutting Tiles is f'ing amazing! The nose of the Sauvin hops filled the room as it was poured. Many thanks @mickyge for including this one in our IP trade last weekend!!

When my guy gets it he let's me know and saves me a 4pk. Easy peasy. I'm not sure I'm fascinated by any beer but HT is easily in my top 10 IPAs, if not all beers. The OG Before the haze took over.

 

Well, puns are like time @beergoot - both are a volatile substance.

This one, however, is from Von Ebert. Haven't enjoyed this beer since visiting Belmont Station in PDX two years ago (on tap). It's a damn fine, balanced, beer. Buddy who visited (and with whom I had too many) on Friday brought this as part of a little mixed 4-pk.

Ye olde headache behind the eyes is still there, but a WHOLE lot better than it was yesterday.
Moderna kicked like a mule, and I was the fencepost.

Well, at least this story had a happy ending!

 

Fair State The Appearance of Favoritism (6.6% canned 8/30/23): A NEIPA from Minnesota with fresh citra hops for flavors of orange and grapefruit citrus, tangerine, some mango and pine.

Dry-hopped NEIPA from Fair State. This uses fresh hops frozen straight off the vine and shipped frozen Citra Cryo. Usually their IPAs are pretty clean and this is too. Nice citrus flavors of orange, some resinous tangerine, mango, and pine. Pretty enjoyable.
