Dominion just got a few cans from Juicy Brewing in Herndon. I think this is the first time they've been available outside the brewery.

I've brought a small drawstring backpack with me every year I've gone, including last year. If that's changed, it would be quite the departure.

Found this response from Snallygaster's Instagram account in the comment section on this post: "Umbrellas are allowed (and encouraged!)"

Are Lawson's and Toppling Goliath distributing now to Virginia? Or was this a one time drop?

First time I have seen them. It would be nice if they keep coming, but I am not confident that’s going to happen.

Hands down, Coconut Space Brownie from Monkish was my #1. If you skim through the Untapp'd check-ins from yesterday, you'll notice I wasn't alone in that opinion. I literally went through the Monkish line ten times to get as much of it as I could.

As for the low, the worst part was the weather. It was a soggy mess surrounded by a pleasant Friday and a tolerable Sunday. Bleh.

We're seeing TG down in Norfolk, but unfortunately no Lawsons yet. And my gut tells me its a one time thing.

What time did the Monkish kegs kick? We only had Kraken tickets, and by the time we worked our way to the Medusa section, couldn't find any Monkish.

I went with my brother, who is a beer enthusiast but less of a snob than me....but we both liked Cantillon the best. Fidens won the hazy contest, Suarez best lager, Cushwa best fruited sour, and really liked the Ology pastry stout (maybe because it was the first stout of the day for me), which apparently lasted all day.

Not sure when Monkish kicked. I think I was talking my final trips through the line around the time things were getting noticeably more crowded, which probably meant GA had been working their way in for a bit, and all three kegs were still flowing.

Jeez, honestly, the high was seeing folks I know (or don't know) and chatting with them. My faves were nerdy stuff like Zennegash or Smoked Rosten. I liked the barleywine at Alesong. Both Live Oaks were tremendous. The rain was good because nature was my dump bucket, though actual dump buckets would have been cool. Stopped by Capsoul too when they were pouring and enjoyed both of their offerings.

Not sure I love the new label art and color but love the large font statement “Farm to Brewery in under 24hrs”. That’s good marketing IMO.
