Autumn has to be a top 3 for me. This one after sitting a few weeks gives off waves of fruit that have evolved. It’s a back and forth of peach/overripe pineapple and kind of understand the whole sorbet thing with this one. Can’t get enough.

    Can art also hits

Has anyone used group ordering yet? Headed to Tewksbury tomorrow and picking up for a few others, as usual. Specifically, does each person get to pay for their own order or does it all go on one tab? Thanks for any info.!

First time visitor to Tewksbury next week! While I've had friends bring back cans over the years, I've never had a chance to visit a location personally. Would appreciate some help on a few quick questions. I went back through the prior pages, but asking some things again in case changed as time passed.
    • Looks like drink limit is still 3 pp. Anyone know if that changed now that they have food? The website for Tewksbury is a little unclear for me.
    • Beer to go appears to require you to have a car and park in a spot at a designated time. I'm planning getting there by Uber and then take the commuter train into Boston. Can we buy cans without having to wait in the parking lot? How wide is the time range for your time slot (15 min, 30 min, etc)?
    • If you golf, are still limited to the 3 pours and only picking up in a car? Do they sell pours or cans to enjoy on the course?
    • Do they rent clubs for the golf course?
    Thanks in advance!

    Pretty straight forward.

No matter what you are capped at 3 drinks. That most likely will never change. We went for many years without pours.

You can get beer cans inside the main pours building in the retail shop. But not all of them. The golf retail shop and pours building are all the same but it’s a limited to go selection for cans. You could for sure order all cans and just walk over to the “actual to-go building” and say I’m here and most likely explain kindly to the worker it’s an Uber and you just want to grab your cans. I’m sure they will accommodate this. Just hit “I’m here” on your order and add a spot number and walk up to a worker. Might take 2-10 min at most depending how busy. Honestly, I would just maybe go to the to go building and explain your situation before pours and 0 doubt they won’t accommodate and help you. Couldn’t be a nicer group.

I don’t think they rent. You can get pours on the course but it’s still counted and it’s limited selection and it will be offered in a specific vessel that’s made for the course. You can’t Do 3 golf and 3 more in the house.

Have fun and enjoy it. It’s just beer, don’t stress it

Appreciate you taking the time to respond! I rarely get out that way, so would have loved to be able to try more on draft. I'm sure it'll be a good time no matter what. Thanks again!

    Cheers!

Your only other option would be if you had anyone with you. They can grab their pours and if they didn’t want them technically you could enjoy them. Which, I’m pretty sure as long as you aren’t out of control or causing and issue it’s not a big deal. Em and I tend to do this a little bit given one of us is always a DD. However, I try to respect their process and not ruin a good thing and abuse it ya know. I’d say skip the golf beers and get the pours you want.

I will answer my own question for anyone out there who is interested, the group order puts it all on one bill (and you also have to wait for others to order before you close that bill). So not a real helpful option in my opinion as I would rather hit multiple "I Am Here"'s than have to deal with PayPal and such for each order...perhaps they will resolve that in the future. Still, first world problems.

If you would be into a Barrel Aged Baltic Porter, Wicked Cozy is a good buy,

Tewksbury allows transactions at the bar now. This is a welcome change. You can still grab a ticket for ease for additional pours as well.

Stopped at Charlton on a trip home from Maine last Monday. Grabbed some Golden Fern and it is very very good. With so many options available these days I usually stick to the ones I know I will enjoy, but really loving NZ hops I decided to grab a 4 pack of Golden Fern and was not disappointed! Cheers!

I’m torn. Between Deerfield and charlton. Coming from NYC so almost equidistant. Last 2 times I went to Deerfield. The pizza plus the 3 drink vs 2 drink limit is a win for me. The expansive outdoor area is great for the 2 kids. But this time it will be in early December so I’m afraid the outside will be a non-factor. It seems like charlton may have. More expansive indoor space. But the pizza tho… if damn near drive for that pizza if they didn’t have the beer. Tewks seems like it would be ideal now that they have pizza and the indoor space has a variety of different rooms and is quite expansive. The fact that it’s further just makes it less preferable.

I was also considering swinging by the farm on Sunday before heading back home. Some of those beers look intriguing. But I wonder how on-site will work in the winter.

Are you saying you can pay as you go with a cc? (I'm sure no cash still)

Piggybacking on the questions- how is the pizza? I have seen a few raves, but also a few negative reviews. But then TmaveTebow up above has me thinking it might be worth checking out.

Have a free afternoon Friday and was thinking about killing some time with a pizza and beers in Tewksbury. Unless it makes sense to get a sandwich somewhere else and bring it in.

I’ve had the pepperoni pizza twice at Tewksbury and loved it. Definitely recommend!

The pizza is not only excellent but for 18 inches a great deal. Maine Beer charges more for a 12 inch. That Tewksbury location could pass for the best sports bar around. Pizza, beer and football on that big screen TV on Sundays.
