Once Upon Vine is pretty good, always have a great selection, and know they just got in New Belgiums La Folie, Duck Rabbit Barleywine, and Terrapin Hopzilla to name a few. Always a good selection and a personal favorite. They have two locations, one on the Northside and the other on the Southside. Both have some similar and also different selections so try and hit both. Also, if your looking to grab a drink, Blowtoad in the Fan has a fantastic selection with over 20 quality taps. I'll be there on saturday afternoon/evening, if you make it out, I'll buy you a drink. Cheers!

Thanks, Ill be visiting an old high school friend who is finishing up his victory lap at VCU, so I will probably be chugging Natty at frat parties all weekend, but if I do make it out to there I will be sure to let ya know. That being said, I will be trying to get to the Founders night at Capital Alehouse Innsbrook on Friday night.

I may end up at the Founders thing as well, still debating it. Though I will say try to get there early, as reservations have been sold out for weeks, and its going to be packed. Happy hunting though at the bottle shops!

Is it a reservation only thing? Or can anyone walk in and attempt to get at the bar?

Its not reservation only, and walk ins are welcome. But there are a lot of people that work out there and will probably be getting off work early to make sure they get some as nearly all the founders great stuff will be tasted. I'm just guessing and could be completely wrong, but based on how quickly KBS sold here, it would not surprise me to see the place packed by or a little before 5pm. Especially since there will be tasters of CBS.

Forgot to tell you there are a couple bottle shops in the fan area (Strawberry street market and Shields market) which also have some good bottles still sitting on the shelves. Check them out if you have time.

The 2 Once Upon A Vine shops are the best in town. each just slightly different
if you do go out to the west end, stop at Whole Foods. Greg always has some very good kegs on tap for growler fills!

Iv'e been to Strawberry street market they have a small but quality beer selection. I believe it is pretty close to VCU campus so it is centraly located. If you want something good for lunch in the same area try Black Sheep. Really good/fresh food. Only 3 or 4 beers on draft but they are all craft. Good place for a late lunch after sleeping one off.
